It is like a sling that you position your butt in. I prefer to just lean my chest on it and somewhat float on it. Great for pools and open waters!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ floats great *by C***R on 24 August 2022* the cup/can holder is often under water if you are the least bit heavy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The only Floaties I use *by H***T on 5 September 2025* Overall, these are well worth the price and so much better than inflatable floaties. They hold me up in the water perfectly, at around 200 pounds. The material is soft and comfortable. While they do take up a little bit more space than a deflated floaty, they still fold up nicely for easy storage. I have bought four of them and use them throughout one summer. There’s been no fading, no discoloration, and no significant bead loss. Occasionally, the little white beads that are inside of the floaty, will sneak out if the zipper is cracked. My only complaint would be that between the four Floaties I have, one of them has less beads than the others. And while it is softer (more give) and likely holds less weight, I can still easily float in it. Others that use them at my home always comment about how much they like them!
