Great quality for low cost
I am amazed at the sound quality of these hearing aids. I am very happy with my purchase. I was able to hear more easily the people in my life who I think talk quietly. I don’t have to ask them to repeat as often. I can have the car radio volume lower and hear it well. The sound quality is good, not tinny. They are easy to insert and remove and so far they stay put. The battery life seems plenty long for my use. The volume and frequency can be adjusted. They come with various sizes of plastic ear domes. Their charging case and maintenance are convenient and not complicated. Audien has proactive customer service. A few days after delivery, Carlo from Audien called to find out how my experience has been using Atom One. I think if I had issues, Audien would give me a credit toward more expensive and newer versions but for now I am happy with what I have. I had the usual good purchase experience and delivery with Amazon. The listing had a $10 Amazon coupon. The Atom One is a worthwhile expense for me to see if hearing aids would be comfortable for me and would make a difference. A few days after delivery, there was a 20% Amazon discount and the only way Amazon would have given me the price adjustment was if I returned the aids I received and ordered new ones using the better discount. That seemed short-sighted given that: the items had been in my ears; I wanted to keep them; and Amazon would have to pay for return shipping. But that is Amazon’s policy. I didn’t return and reorder. I have mild hearing loss due to age/damage, not fluid buildup, and for me the Atom One hearing aids are a great quality and low-cost option.

I must be fair
I bought these back in June. One came in cracked. Contacted them and they offered a refund, but I threw it away in a fit of anger. Bad move. Anyway, to get to the gist of this ordeal. I use the one good ear piece and it works great. It seems as though my left ear is fine. Since this one can fir in either ear, all is well. Thanks for the opportunity to clear up any doubts about the quality of my one hearing aid.

Would have given five stars but the product took a while to adapt to. Review worth reading.
I've used very expensive Oticon BTE hearing aids for 10 years and decided to go to the low end of the market for a try. On receiving Atom One I read directions etc. and started using the with the largest silicone ear adapter provided with both volume and frequency settings at the low point. Squealing feedback (very uncomfortable) was the problem - big ear canals, too big for the largest adapter provided. So, ordered the largest silicon adapters possible from different source and voila, no more squealing and good haring results. Took a while but I didn't give up. They are my daily go-to now which says something from an experienced hearing aid person. Suggest use adapters that definitely fit snugly in your ears to eliminate squeal feedback. Not a waste of money at all just be patient with yourself getting used to them. I charge mine daily to assure full day's use.

Just my opinion of this hearing aid
Battry life: seems okay, I have never had them go silent during the day while in use. Sound quality: They are very good at magnifying the sound. Noise cancellation, no matter what tip I put on the hearing aid, they slide out of the ear canal a little, which affects the amount of outside noise I hear. Clarity, good, I can hear well with them, I need sometimes to change the settings. Controls: I need to change the levels depending on the setting, sometimes I am in an auditorium listening to a lecture, sometimes the area is smaller. I have to carry the screw driver, take the hearing aid out, make changes to the volume and, or tone. Many hearing aids, allow you to do that by pressing a button while still in the ear which is much better. Cons: Opening the case is a bit difficuit for old hands, it's like cracking an egg, they could have made that easier when designing the case. Bottom line: I'm not all that satisified, but am making due.

Good product, better customer service
These are good, solid entry-level hearing aids. For the price, they're an excellent value. What *really* makes them stand out is the customer service behind them. Even though I bought them from Amazon, instead of directly, they were marvelous. (I got the impression that they have a special help center for customers who used 3rd party vendors, though I may be mistaken there.) They took me a while to get used to, but the company's website let me know what to expect. When I had trouble with them whistling and being too big for my ridiculously small ear canals, they spent time helping me figure it out. They also suggested using both, even though my hearing loss is one-sided. Doing so made a big difference for me, to my surprise. I plan to upgrade soon, and I will be sticking with Audien Hearing. They have a model that works like earbuds as well as hearing aids, which is my next purchase. Regarding my tiny ear canals: if you have the same problem, Audien has extra small domes. Those were still not small enough for me, but another vendor here on Amazon, Wovnet, sells an inexpensive accessories kit with domes that were small enough for me.

They work really well…for a while
This is the third set of Audien Atom hearing aids that I have purchased. I only need an amplifier, and these have fit the bill quite nicely. The first set finally died and wouldn't work, principally because the battery in one of them would no longer charge. Still have the second pair and are quite functional. I just don't like how you have to adjust the volume. This set, though, is much simpler to use. What's really nice you can set it for not only volume but tone also. a great improvement. And OMG! the battery life is exceptional. I work a 12 hour shift, and these exceed the 12 hours by a long shot! Of the ones that I have had, I think this pair is by far the best. Update: one of them stopped working less than a month after receiving them. So disappointed. They were working so well and one just died. Replaced wax protector and recharged. Still dead. Sent the receipt to Audien, and they said that they couldn’t verify the receipt. Fortunately, i was within the 30 day return window at Amazon. So back they went.

It also works for those with more hearing loss...
After many hours of searching and wanting to not break the bank, I chose these. My hearing loss is a bit more than most, with one ear having overall moderate-to-severe hearing loss, and the other having only a few frequencies in that moderate-to-severe loss. With that background, I know that my need is more than can be met by this device. But choosing this Audien Atom One was the best choice for me. I figured that out because I also purchased the Atom X at the same time. I thought that the Atom X, since it had more features, might provide me with better hearing. For me, it wasn't the best option. I found that the Atom One can be adjusted to a suitable volume with the dial directly on each hearing aid. It seemed to me that I was able to turn it up louder on the Atom One. One other important thing about these devices: I had previously had a hearing device that was more of an amplifier. With this type, everything is louder, including the ambient noise (rooms with tile floors are the worst!). The Atom One is better than the amplifier style of hearing device since it apparently does noise cancellation with the ambient noise. It's a little hard for me to discern the noise cancellation since my hearing need exceeds the usual use of this device. Even so, I get a sufficient amount of help from this hearing aid. However, I'm not a fan of the rechargeable aspect of this device. I would much rather have a battery that lasts a few days, and after replacing the battery (3 minutes later), I have full use of the device. With a rechargeable device, I have to wait at least an hour or more to get full use of the device again. So, I have to charge it every night to make sure I get the full day's use. I suspect I have to charge it daily since I have it turned up quite loud. Right out of the box, the Atom One was very easy to use. One more observation: the use of the frequency dial seems to be an adjustment on the sound you actually hear. I had hoped I could increase the dial to hear better in the frequencies that I'm most deficient in. Wishful thinking. But now that I understand the device better, of course it's adjusting the sound you hear. Overall, I think it's a great product for those with the hearing loss this is designed for since I'm getting a good amount of use from it, and I'm really stretching the limits. Who wants to pay thousands of dollars for a hearing aid?

Works, but with some noise and resonance
The Product works to a degree. When everything is to the optimum, it gives good amplification. However, it's tricky to make it work. It gives a lot of constant beeping noise. You can maneuver it to take the noise off, but sometimes it is hard. When the amplification is on, you can hear almost nicely, except some resonance. The worst part of resonance is when you talk, your ear feels uncomfortable from it. So, when your main purpose is talking, it's better not to have it on. I only need it for one ear, but you can imagine when you have them for both ears. It says once the devices are in the charging box, they are turned off. However, very often the beeping noise is still on. You have to maneuver it again to have the noise off.
