What are the ingredients in this? Is there aspartame or another artificial sweetener, or are you meant to just sweeten it yourself by adding sugar?

There is no added sweeteners, just add your own. I use sugar, but I use half of what they recommend on package and it is sweet enough for my taste. Ingredients are citric acid and natural and artificial flavors. Makes a flavorful and harmless drink, I love it and have used it for many, many years. Hope this helps.

What is the expiration date on the kool aid packages?

I just got mine (Jan. 2022) and the expiration date is May 2023, so no problem.
