I finally found the perfect sandal!!! (Edited after a week at Disneyland)
Updated:After wearing them for a week in Disneyland, I'm very happy to report that the straps didn't bother me at all!!! I was nervous about wearing them and brought tennis shoes just in case, but these ended up being very comfortable even after 12 hours of walking. I guess the straps did stretch because the didn't bother me at all. My legs were super tired by the end of the day, but my feet didn't hurt at all. I've changed my review from 4 stars to 5 stars and am so, so happy my long search for sandals paid off after all!!FYI I like these so much more than my Birkenstocks too. They are waterproof and so much better for walking.Original review:After a two month long search for the perfect sandal and purchasing (and then returning) three different styles of Teva's, I tried these on in a shoe store and instantly fell in love. They are SO comfortable. The shoe bed feels smooth and great, the straps are perfectly padded, the shoe feels cushy and they have the perfect amount of arch support for me. Plus they are even pretty cute! The only downside is that the straps at the top are too tight. Even though they are stretchy, they just don't stretch enough. Especially for wearing them all day and hiking. I absolutely love walking in these things and most of the time the straps don't bug me, but by the end of the day they are cutting into the top of my foot and leave marks.I'm so torn about whether to keep them, but I think I will because I just love them too much to part with them. I'm really, really hoping that the straps stretch over time.BTW, I like them way, way more than the Teva universal. Those didn't give me nearly enough support while walking and the grooved footbed catches every bit of dirt and looks gross.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had
Spring 2024 edit: these sandals are still going strong. Unfortunately the original model has been changed and some of the colors are discontinued, which is very disappointing. I’ll keep wearing these until they give out, which hopefully doesn’t happen very soon! They are still holding up after 6 years of wearing them regularly for half the year. I can’t say whether the newer ones are the same quality or not. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. They fit my foot like a glove. The arch support is exactly in the right spot for my foot and exactly the right amount. I am constantly struggling to find shoes with the right support. If you have extremely high arches, it might not be enough, but for me it's perfect. The soles are flexible and the footbed has a comfortable squishy feeling, while remaining firm where it needs to and keeping its shape. I haven't had any issues with the straps as others have mentioned - I adjust them once when I put them on, and they stay put. Also, these are definitely not "formal" shoes, but they dress up nicely. They look cute with a sundress, jeans, shorts, or leggings. I've been wearing these almost every day for 2 months and they're still going strong. I can walk for miles and my feet never hurt. My leg muscles and back start to hurt before my feet do. I don't recommend them for hiking or beach-walking - sand or dirt particles can easily get inside the sandal and reduce the traction between your foot and the footbed, making the sandals slide around, and also the soles don't have a lot of grip. However, for everyday life they're great.

An excellent sandal for city pavements
I admit that I was dubious when I first received these sandals. They looked like they might be too big, and I was afraid that they might shift around on uneven surfaces. I had never tried Teva sandals before, but I am now a convert. These sandals did not require breaking in; they were immediately comfortable. I have worn them on city sidewalks, on grass, on sand and gravel, and on the uneven cobblestoned streets of Paris. I have walked for hours and hours, and the soles have provided good cushion and support. I am really impressed! I don't hike, but these are great for city walking.Note that this model runs very true to size, so do not buy a larger size (like I usually do) just to be safe, or your feet may slide around a bit. Although the ankle strap is adjustable, the front straps are not, and they are cut generously so that they don't bind.

Durable Streetwear & Comfortable
I tried on various styles on Teva sandals and found this pair to be the best fit. I immediately felt like I was walking on clouds. The shoe is very lightweight. I don't know how well it would hold up on unstable terrain, but it held up to miles upon miles of walking on concrete. I wore these throughout a two week vacation to Bali and Singapore, where my husband and I did countless miles/hours of walking. The shoes do show some wear around the edges, but the straps are still firmly in place. My first day in them, I did develop a small raw spot on the top of one of my big toes, but they quickly wore in and caused me no further issues.UPDATE: Nearly a year later, I just want to add that these shoes are still in great condition and holding up fine after regular use. They've been worn in urban settings, on dirt trails, and kayaking.
