Best I can find on Amazon.com. After visiting Japan last year.
Hojicha tea from Uji, Japan, is something special and totally unique. Uji is known for producing some of the best teas around, and their Hojicha is no exception. What makes this tea stand out is the roasting process—it gives the leaves a warm, brown color and a toasty, nutty smell with just a hint of smokiness. When you sip it, you’ll notice how smooth and mellow it is, with flavors of toast, caramel, and even a bit of cocoa. It's super comforting and layered without being overpowering. Plus, because it’s low in caffeine, it's a great option if you're sensitive to caffeine or want a calming drink at night without worrying about staying up too late. You can enjoy Hojicha hot, which really brings out its warmth and richness, or iced if you're looking for something refreshing on a warm day. Some people even like to mix it with milk for a creamy, roasted latte vibe.Aside from how good it tastes, Hojicha is also packed with antioxidants, so it’s a healthy choice too. Whether you’re already into tea or just getting started, Hojicha from Uji is definitely worth checking out for its flavor and health benefits.

Taste good and good quality
I purchased this since it was low caffeine and I cannot have much caffeine. I wanted it for health benefits and it is good quality, and easy to use. Smells good as well.

You Can Make Natural Thai Iced Tea!
I've always wanted to make Thai iced tea without the artificial dye. However I've never been able to find a good base tea that had that smooth smoky character of Thai iced tea. Then I read the description of this tea and thought it sounded interesting---and bam!! This is it! This is Thai iced tea without the artificial color and vanilla flavor!!

Smells so good!
I love this Hojicha. The flavor and aroma is very similar to what I had in Japan. The tea smells fresh and well-roasted. The color of the tea is dark brown which is the perfect color I am looking for. I have already finished the bag, and ordered another one!My only complaint is that the tea has a lot of fine power mixed in, which means I have to filter the tea really well. Other than that, I highly recommend if you enjoy Hojicha.

YAMASAN KYOTO UJI is my go–to brand.
YAMASAN KYOTO UJI is my go–to brand. YAMASAN green tea products are 100% JONA & JAS Certified Organic (which means without pesticides or chemical fertilizers) YAMASAN carefully selects the finest quality organic green tea from Uji, Kyoto, Japan. To date, I have tried the two (2) 80g bags of their Sencha, but admittedly, I have yet to master brewing the Sencha – a work in progress. Moving to the Kukicha Twig Loose Leaf Green Tea with Matcha Powder, I LOVE IT! The Loose–Leaf Green is made of stems of Japanese green tea called “Gyokuro” which is known as high–quality (e.g., L–Thiane) tea. I find it to be very savory and provides a great sense of calm and mental clarity. Out of a sense of precaution, I purchased one (1) 100g bag on Nov. 10th, and on Nov. 17th, I purchase four (4) additional 100g bags. I am literally monitoring Amazon for the announcement of offering its member the 500g Bulk Bag. I learned that YAMASAN offers the 1KG bags Direct to consumers, but at very high shipping costs (which includes Customs clearance, etc.). Amazon, please expedite the effort of providing your member the bulk bag (which you offer for the Sencha?).

Slightly off green tea taste
Tea taste is slightly off from what I am used to for green tea. It is not totally bad but certainly different for my taste. I drink it straight (without any sugars, cream etc) so might be different otherwise. I found using a smaller amount in the strainer helps.
