CAFFÉ CONTEMPO Italian Style Espresso, Aroma Blend, 2 LB Whole Bean, Dark Roast, Freshly Roasted Coffee

I got an espresso machine recently and I’ve been having trouble finding a coffee I like to go in it. I’m not an espresso snob, and my machine isn't one of those outrageously priced ones, but it's decent, and I’ve done a lot of reading on what makes a good espresso or latte. This Aroma Blend from Caffe Contempo is excellent and produces a luxurious crema. I had meant to order the Pacifica but accidentally ordered the Aroma, and it was a happy mistake. Next time I’ll try the Pacifica to see if it's as good or even better. The price is very reasonable too. I’m sold on the brand for sure.

Got this because it seemed like a freshly roasted and grinded option with medium roast and espresso fine ground specifically. Surprisingly hard to find medium roast espresso grind...Used in my Saeco Poemia espresso machine with great results! Pleased. Good value for money. Delicious! The aroma of the beans is phenomenal.I typically like espresso-based drinks (Macchiato, Latte, Cappuccino) over straights espresso BUT this Caffe Contempo Pacifica is delicious on its own! Smooth, bold, but with low acidity. This is will be my "go-to" espresso for when I am creating drinks for guests whom normally don't drink espresso.

The first time, I received this product in a box with lithium batteries and all of the requisite trimmings, inclusive of explosive and fire hazards labeling. I discarded the coffee.The second time, I received this product in a padded envelope, and was excited to try it out. Upon opening the padded envelope, I found the food packaging punctured, coffee grounds splayed.Amazon refunded both orders, and provided a $15 incentive after I expressed my frustration.It would seem that others... enjoy the coffee? maybe? but i sure hope that something improves from a packaging or distribution standpoint. For now, I'm rolling back to Lavazza.

Had a stale smell, though the bag was intact. Just was not impressed with this at all. I'd say you get what you pay for, but I've found many "Italian" coffees on here that by volume were not only cheaper, but tasted amazing. I'll stick to Illy and sfbay for my italian coffees for now.

I wanted to try something other than the Illy Caffe I usually use for my stovetop espresso pot, so I tried this brand. It's good, although the grind is a little too fine for my Bialetti. I may try whole beans, if that's an option in this brand, and grind them myself.
