Works!
I have just ordered my second trap. We live in woods and put the trap outside at base of house. The trap has caught dozens of snakes and mice. A bit expensive, but well worth it. Have been using off-brand large glue traps to cut down on glue trap refill costs.

Works great!
Disappointed that the price went up $10 from last year. Anything that gets on the glue pad stays. Easy to use and easy to check the contents by lifting the top by the tie, easy to dispose of the glue pad. I bought 2 last year and just received my order of 2 more.

Caught a Snake and let it go
After finding a couple of snake skins in the basement I put this trap down. Three years later I caught the/a snake. I took it down to a wetlands and put vegetable oil on the sticky paper. It freed itself and crawled away after a while. I had a rat that got stuck but got away. Found hair and a bit of blood on the sticky paper. The rat continued to roam the house for a few months before I finally got him with poison. The trap has gotten lots of insects. I don't particularly like using this trap or poisons, but rats, mice, and snakes in the house are not acceptable.

Huge and sticky
This box trap is huge......I don't understand why there is another 12 dollars shopping while the trap (which is just a box together with 3 sticky pads already cost 80 bucks). Way overpriced.I big concern is how it will perform outdoor when the rain can enter the box and the sticky pad may not sticky.Too expensive

Do not buy it's a waste of money.
That paper losses its stickiness. Caught a mouse but was able to get away.

Caught a snake on day two of use
You should place the trap on the ground where you want it BEFORE you put the glue trap in it. I did not do this and somehow the glue trap got stuck to the roof of the trap while I was moving it around to the place I wanted it. I can't get it off and am hoping after a few months in the Texas heat the glue will break down and I will be able to pull it off. After messing up on the first glue pad I carefully placed the second one in the trap. The next afternoon I caught the two foot banded water snake shown in the picture. If you use this trap you have to realize this is not a 'catch and release' trap, so be prepared to put the snake out of its misery so it does not die slowly from lack of water and food.Update-I was able to get the stuck glue trap I originally got stuck on the trap off by setting the trap in the sun an hour or two, then applying a lot of veg oil before pulling it off. In theory I guess you could use Veg oil to get a snake off then take the snake somewhere else and let it free instead of killing it. I doubt the average user will want to do this particularly if they don't even know if the snake is poisonous and as much pressure I had to use to get the glue pad off I doubt a snake could be pulled off without injuring or killing the snake.

2 copperheads in a week
Just bought my fourth lift top trap. Read the other complaints and want to share the modification I made to keep the sticky trap in the box. I simply cut 2 one by four pieces of lumber to size so that their is a 2 1/2 inch hole on each side for the snake to enter. (If you don’t have a table saw but a smaller pice of lumber such as a 1x2) Then I spray paint them black to match and attach these to the bottom on each side with 1 1/4 inch sheet metal screws (works better than wood screws which have a tapered head). Then I place the hole side against a wall. When I had professionals come and placetraps this is what they did and their trap just had a hole on one side.Wish the traps came made in a similar fashion at this price, but what is most important to me is to reduce the risk of my Jack Russel being bitten (and while he has a good chance of winning I don’t want to take a chance). My 3 star ratings of categories other than overall reflect that I had to do this modification.
