Perfect Smart Scene Controller with Matter
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’ve been looking for a smart scene controller to use in my bedroom so I can turn off all lights in my house, change the AC, or lock all the doors. This is exactly what I needed! I like that I don’t need to yell at Alexa and can take a lot of actions in a few clicks. Exposing the smart buttons to matter was super easy and then using Home Assistant I’ve been able to do whatever I want. I do wish the knob could also be an exposed entity but I found it easy to create preset AC or Volume options that I just had to click. Plus it’s another temperature sensor!

Got it at almost half off otherwise I would return it **Updated
It is currently 105F outside. The display shows 5 degrees F. Sorta missing the other 2 characters. The device is nice but its going to take a lot of googling to get this working. I don't have too many switchbot devices. The ones I have were not automatically paired, they are paired to my hub 2. This sort of makes sense but is rather annoying. They are not the only manufacturer to do this as my Aqara hubs do this also. I would just think a device could be seen by other hubs especially in the same eco system when they support the same "smart" technology like matter, bluetooth, zigbee etc. You should be able to move a device to a "primary" hub where it is preferred and should that hub go down, the other hub or hubs would perform as fail over hubs making the environment much more available. Anyhoo, this is nice, I see zero value in it. I would return it but I got it at a great deal so I will spend time instead of money to see if it can do anything useful. If you are heavy into switchbot great, just prepare to have to move all your devices to this hub manually. I could be totally wrong here as I've had it online for all of 10 minutes but the fact it can't even display 3 characters for the temperature is sad. In the app it shows correctly, the device, not so much.**UpdateI've had some more time with the device and I was a bit quick to jump on the negative side. I'm upping it to 3 stars because I can't figure out how to get the matter to work with both Home Assistant and Apple Home. this is something I need and I do not understand the limitation. So the Apple TV remote aspect is awesome. It works great. Importing your existing switchbot devices is equally easy and great. I created a virtual button and it popped up in home assistant and I was able to quickly create an automation. These are just some of the basic things I've done but I can see this being more useful once I can have both Apple Home and Home Assistant see the matter virtual buttons. Hopefully a software update SOON will resolve this? Perhaps it's a limitation of matter?**Update 2You can have this in multiple matter ecosystems. It was my lack of understanding. In my case I had added this to Apple Home first. All I had to do was go into the hub settings and then tap Turn On Pairing Mode. I got a code and put that into home assistant and it was added very quickly. I've upped this to 4 stars. This device is great. I just wish I could have it show the temperature that is over 100' and also the temperature update is SUPER SLOW. It was like 5 hours behind what was the actual temerature. To be fair my meter pro is also like this. As they are both always powered devices they should really update far more often. I have noticed too that if you modify or add a matter button, it takes some time to sync to the device from the app. I think there may be a way to manually sync but I have not found it yet.
