Brushed 8" Round Wall Mount Sensor Makeup Mirror, 5x Magnification, Hard-Wired (100-240v), Stainless Steel, 8"

This is a spendy mirror, but it was worth it. It's very nicely made, with a high quality mounting system that made it easy to install. Based on some of the previous reviews I was a little concerned about the rechargeable battery light functionality, so I charged the battery and tested everything before installing it. It did need to be charged and after the green light went from a slow flash to solid, the circular light around the mirror face worked just fine and has continued to work with absolutely no problem. It comes on as you get "into the zone" to use the mirror, and shuts off pretty promptly when you move away. The color of the light is really good in terms of being able to tell what your cosmetics actually look like on your face :-) This mirror is a 5X magnification, which is perfect not only for applying makeup, but for seeing (horrors!) all of those things that need tending to on your face. I don't see how anyone could want or even use a higher magnification. Another plus for the simplehuman mirror is that its design is clean and elegant, important for something that's attached to your wall in plain sight.

This mirror is everything I wanted. I read all of the one and two star ratings and none of them deterred me from purchasing. The hardware was fine and is holding quite steady, the mirror stays charged for months! I use it daily. I have only charged it once since purchasing a little less than a year ago. It turns off automatically and stays lit while I'm in front of the sensor. The finish is beautiful. The magnification is perfect (maybe a bit too perfect. 😊) All in all I am extremely pleased with this product. I would recommend following all of the directions for installation and cleaning. If anything else I only clean the mirror and sensor with the cloth provided and the finish only with water for stubborn dust. I wouldn't use anything but a fine microfiber cloth on the finish. It's a beautiful mirror and does what it says it will do.

Love my Simple Human wireless wall mount mirror! I was hesitant to spend this much $ on a mirror, but it’s worth it—at least for me! I purchased the wall mount because I didn’t want to clutter my counter top and didn’t want to risk knocking it over. I’ve had it for about a month and it’s working great! It’s 5x magnification ( which is perfect for me—I didn’t want 10x, as many make up mirrors are) and the lighting is perfect! I really hate cords, so this is great b/c it’s wireless—1charge has lasted the entire month! Mounting is easy-took us 5-10”!

My wife is very pleased. Regarding the light, so many remarked that it was not bright enough. Neither of us find this to be the case. In fact, she often stands back so that it's not illuminated. She says sometimes it can be too bright. The hue is definitely different than that given off by the bath's incandescent lights. It does seem to be more like natural daylight. The automation works exactly as advertised. Put an object in proximity to the sensor at the six o'clock position and it comes on. Move away and, after a short delay, it goes off. Some reviews have mentioned a negative experiences with this. We have not had a problem at all. The overall construction seems solid. It is fairly heavy. I mounted it directly into the stud. I would not be comfortable mounting this into drywall alone. I debated on this rechargeable model or the hard wired version. I'm glad I chose this. I charged it on installation and it hasn't needed a charge since. Hard wired is more hassle and more permanent. If desired, it would be much easier to relocate the rechargeable model. My only critical observation would be that the telescoping arm requires more force to move in and out than I would like. This is purely subjective. It works just fine.

Had a licensed electrician install a month after we purchased the product from Amazon. Unfortunately we were sent a defective mirror. The on switch doesn’t stay on unless you hold it with your finger. Because it has been over a month we can no longer return through Amazon and must go through simple human warranty department. Everything is via email. No human representative to help with the replacement of the defective item. Best advice is to purchase only if you are going to install within the month to avoid having to go through the manufacturer if there are any issues with your product. We always purchase through Amazon for the easy returns but on this particular item it was not beneficial. Will update review once I actually hear back from simple human. Very frustrating. Update: Simple Human sending a REFURBISHED replacement. Wow.

This wall mirror is amazing. The light is bright, it comes on instantly when you move your face close to it and then goes off automatically when you move away. It looks great on the wall in our very small master bathroom. It is nice not to have cords in the way -- very easy to recharge. I would have given this mirror 5 stars, but the 2 Allen screws that go in the bottom of the base are next to impossible to put in. I see no reason for the company to use these tiny Allen screws when they could use small regular screws that would be so much easier to put in. Otherwise, they have made the perfect wall mirror and I would certainly buy it again. It is worth every penny.

Replaced a hardwired makeup mirror that had a bad elbow that was constantly coming apart and was literally falling off the wall. I tried one other mirror before I found this one but the lighting wasn't great and the mirror seemed really. This one is perfect! Made well, moves smoothly, lights beautifully and automatically when you walk up to it! The mirror is nice and big too. The arm extension has a seamless in and out motion so I won't have to worry about the swiveling elbow breaking. I really do love this mirror.

Seems like a good product, but the item description does not indicate the LED color temperature. I expected 3000k like most other mirrors, but this was 5000k. Had to return it as it does not match the lighting in my bathroom. I hope Amazon/SimpleHuman can correct the listing.
