HQ ISSUE Men's Waterproof 8" Side Zip Desert Boots

I have worked my first two pair very hard the past 18 months clearing my densely wooded, heavy clay soil and very rocky new home site. These boots have seen very hard work on and off the tractor and seen a lot of chainsaw, shovel and pick use. I have walked around and over huge numbers of rocks and never twisted an ankle.I am on my third and fourth pair of these boots. The bang for the buck is really high for me with these boots. They are pretty waterproof up to ~ 2/3 the height of the boot as the tongue is not sewn to the sides past this point to the top of the boot. I have to add inner soles (Dr. Scholl's) to raise my ankle a small bit as the boot flexes right at my ankles and the insert moves the ankle about this point and is more comfortable.

First let me say that the only problem i had with these boots was the fact that it takes some time for these too get worn in. Thicker material or something maybe that's why.Other then that there good,they are waterproof and very sturdy which is good and bad depending on what your looking for..I usually buy Magnum Boots in case anyone is wondering, these are good though. especially for the price. There still in good shape and it's my 3rd month wearing them. Would i buy them again, I will because you cant beat the price. there's boots out there over $100.00 and even $200.So i would rather save money for something more .

I've purchased 3 pair of these boots over the last 3 years. They are great for work (but not steel toe) and great for hunting outside of winter. They are light weight, waterproof and the side zipper makes for easy on and off. For the price I highly recommend the boots. HQ ISSUE has been a great brand

My boyfriend loves these boots and they are great quality. They were a great price and they are holding up perfectly so far! He wears them everyday including to his 12+ hour long workdays and I'm pretty sure it's been about a month since he's had them. When he was searching for new boots on Amazon, he wasn't sure about the side zip up boots since he's always had traditional lace up only boots, but after getting these he told me he'd never buy boots again without a side zipper. He loves the ease of taking them on and off that the zipper provides. He said these boots were super comfortable as well!

I like that once I put them on and adjust the laces, I can un-zip them to take them off. I have metal screws and plates in both ankles and these boots give all the support I need. I wear them every day in all kinds of weather (they are waterproof). This is my second pair. I wore the first pair for almost 6 years. They are a great value.

Bought these for my son for Christmas as new work boots. They are pretty comfortable but kind of hard to get on if you don't loosen the laces. Why do a zipper if you have to loosen the laces anyway? One zipper has given him trouble from the get go but he just fights with it and goes on.

Sides of the heal are a bit stiff,but broke in within a few days. Still stiff but contoured to my feet . 3 days later no pain complete comfort once the tension is adjusted properly when tied. I ruin boots doesnt matter the quality withing 8 months and these boots have already exceeded my expectations within the first two weeks . And they are super warm. Will definitely recommend and purchase another pair once these finally start breaking down

Excellent boots. Fit is perfect. Took a little over a week to break in and nice and comfortable. The waterproofing is great. No problems in light rain and snow. Also needed a taller boot for ankle support when walking and hiking. Overall a great deal for the price.
