Are the instructions and VR elements easy to understand and use?

To be honest it's a little tricky because you start in AR then move to VR, but once you get the handle on it, it is AMAZING and so worth the learning curve.

Can i watch the vr videos using my oculus quest instead of the phone based headset that is included?

No the content is only accessible through the Bill Nye app and activated by the book in the kit.

Does this Kit contain everything you need to perform the experiments or do you need to buy a bunch of additional supplies?

Comes with most of everything, you need just a few household items: cooking oil, water, vinegar... but main supplies all included.
