very useful book replaced
So pleased to have been able to replace this book which explains how to wear colours that complement your colouring. This is the first book that CMB published, and better than later books which have updated the theory and have made it less easy to understand IMO.

Interesting but a bit dated

Blast from the past!
I’ve been after a copy of this since I loaned my original 80s copy to someone & never saw it again. The pictures are a bit dated but the colour schemes are spot on & simple to follow. I purchased another book with the same name, thinking it was an updated version but it was a different book & there were too many different colour combinations which made it too confusing.

Good book if you don't know anything but was expecting ...
Okay but out dated a bit l didn't learn anything l didn't know except the odd bit on dressing and the classic romantic ect didn't fit me the only one was dramatic and that said you needed to be tall and thin l am small and slender .Good book if you don't know anything but was expecting a lot more from reading reviews and needed a more upto date version with 12 seasons not 4 ..Would reccommend for the price l paid but l didn't learn anything but l have trained as a colour therapist. ..

Present for a friend.
I already have a copy of this book, which was first lent to me 20 or so years ago. It's great and I often dip into it to read the very useful information inside. I told a friend in England about it (I live in France) and she borrowed it from the library but only photocopied certain pages. After seeing this on Amazon for one penny, I just had to buy it and send it to here. She loves it.

Book missing a page
Produce is good but one of the main colour pages is torn out so I can’t compare the 4 seasons

Overall, very useful knowledge at a cheap price. Some limitations given the age of the book
Gave some explanation of seasonal colours with hints at how to determine which season when is when stuck between two. A great concept which I believe is very useful to know and at a small price. The colour swatches given in the book aren't great as they're very old print and they don't seem to be in line with other websites for example some of the summer looked more like autumn that I have seen on other websites (this could be because of the old print). Some of the pages were starting to fall out but it was readable. The fashion section of the book was pretty redundant in terms of outfit ideas given the books date but I found sections about ones personal style helpful and this along with my colours should help limit purchases of things I never really wear. To my knowledge the book doesn't delve into soft / warm and dark within the seasons. I'd recommend getting a friends help too and helping them work their colours out.
