Some laxative effect, but not like non-chelated. Definitely not harsh like milk of magnesia, for example. Start with a lower dose (1-2 capsules). Great for avoiding muscle tension headaches.

I gather that each tab must have 100 mg, because serving sz is 4 tabs, and 400 mg serving is listed as 100% of the "DV." Other than that, I don't see anywhere on the label where it specifies a mg amt/tab. If that helps.

You're right, that is pretty lame. Ingredients on back read:Magnesium glycinate chelate, magnesium oxide. Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Vegetable Cellulose, Silica, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (Color), Vegetable Glycerin. FREE OF: Gluten, Wheat, Dairy, Soy, Yeast, Sugar, Sodium, Artificial Flavor, Sweetener and Preservatives.
