Great graduation gift for each of my nieces/nephew college graduations! And, most of the time, for me too. I am involved w 2 companies and on boards or multiple orgs. Instead of carrying multiple business cards, I can opt to include my contact info plus multiple relevant org urls here. So much more customizable flexibility than business cards! And the landing page is customizable and looks great without ever having to pay some monthly subscription! I had bought a green one but my phone case is blue and they were on sale, so bought a second one in blue to use one that matches case instead. Gave the unused green one to my nephew who just graduated from Dartmouth and was in travel and job networking mode. He loves it! Perfect graduation gift for Gen Z! And at conferences where I am speaking, I love how easy it is for me to one-off change where the QR code directs (eg, for some audiences I don’t want them to have my cell number or email, so it’s easy to direct the QR code to only have my website URL or a course registration page that day, then change it back to all my contact info (or whatever else I want) for most networking situations. So much better than printing 200+ business cards with unchangeable info that gives everyone my phone number if I give them a card. Four issues that had me knock this down to 4 stars (and pondered kicking it to 3 stars!): 1. Dot card NFC stopped working in first few months. Unfortunate. Ever since, people must use their camera app to old-school capture the QR code instead of just tapping my phone for it to work. This takes more time. Especially because often cameras get finicky trying to read this QR code and have the link pop up, so it takes a few attempts. 2. MOST ANNOYING: When you use this to give people your contact info, after the QR code works, it is still a 4 click process🤦🏻‍♀️: STEP 1 of 4: Tap ‘Down arrow’ (on right nears middle of screen) STEP 2 of 4: Scroll to “Save Contact” button at bottom of screen (Note: UI should just have 2 buttons for this: Exchange Contacts or Download Contact — this simple change would negate the ‘Down Arrow’ step entirely). You are now halfway to sharing your contact info successfully. STEP 3 of 4: (necessary step if an iPhone, different additional “download contact info”step 3 if Android) — after your contact info finally populates into their Contacts, they still need to scroll to bottom of that contact page and select “Create New Contact” STEP 4 of 4: after selecting Create New Contact option, they then need to scroll to top of their phone screen to click on the Checkmark in the upper right corner. If they skip this step, regardless of prior steps, your contact info won’t actually be saved on their phone. Half the time, if someone hasn’t uploaded contact info from a dot card before, just ask permission to touch their phone and I do the 4-click process for them. Otherwise the lag time to give people my contact info in a larger networking group as each person struggles to figure it out makes me miss the efficiency of just handing out a stack of cards (or consider doing research to switch to some other QR code services with a better UI). 3. Saddest shortcoming of dot card (that made me almost ponder downgrading to a 3 Star rating: the top layer of my dot card started curling off itself (so you could see the metal inner layer). I had to peel the whole thing off my phone and now I just have it in my wallet to pull out and hand people to capture the QR code link. I got this on sale a year ago and for reasons 1-4 above can’t rationalize paying a higher amount than prior to get a new one, but eventually might once fishing around in my wallet for this mini-sized bent card becomes untenable. Again: if card quality were better (NFC didn’t die quickly and first layer of card didn’t separate itself from the other layers, and UI improved to reduce steps n contact download process, would be 5 stars!

I was introduced to this by a photographer. He was doing some professional shots for my company, and when I asked for his contact information, he just told me to tap his phone. It was awesome. And the contact came out really professional so of course I wanted it. It took about 15 minutes to fully set up because I bought the pro version. It works great. So much so that my friend bought one for herself. You don’t even have to think about it because it’s just sitting on the back of your phone waiting to be used. It fits perfectly under the case. And if the person doesn’t have NFC, then you can just take your case off and there is a QR code. It is really nice to be able to give a contact that automatically saves to your phone with your picture and all your business information. And you can also create other profiles and have unlimited cards. They even have different size cards and also a wristband. I’m in love.
