Nicest Bag I Own!
I'm very impressed with this bag! I think it's one of the nicest I own. The fabric and stitching feel very high quality and just overall look great. It's the perfect size and all of the pockets are easy to access. My only big complaint is that this does not have a laptop sleeve as pictured on the second slide. There's just two small sleeves and a zippered pocket inside. I don't know if it's an issue with the listing or with the manufacturing, but definitely keep it in mind. If you're not looking for a laptop bag, though, then I can't recommend this enough!!

As expected, versatile and fun!
I like this so much! I've always had a soft spot for both messenger bags and earth tones, and this fits both of those loves! The color of the bag is actually a bit more saturated and vibrant than the promo pictures show! It's made out of a nice, heavy canvas that is soft against your skin, with sturdy silver-colored zippers and leather accents. The outer flap is held down with a couple of pieces of velcro on the inside, covering a pair of smaller outer pouches as well as the main compartment. A zipper holds the main compartment closed, but there are openings on each side, sacrificing a bit of security for the contents in order to provide extra flexibility so that the bag can take a wider shape. The inside of the main compartment is lined and has two small pouches, one on each side. One has the opening reinforced with a bit of leather, and the other has a zipper securing it completely shut. There are no dividers on the main compartment, it's all open, so you really can carry anything in it! On the outside of the bag, both on the flap and on the back of the bag behind the flap, there are sturdy, zippered pockets.I showed it to my mom and we agreed that it felt the exact same as the huge, grey bookbag that she used in her college years and gave to me for jr. high and highschool (where I wore it out). Upon checking on the inside, this is no surprise, as both the outer cloth and inner lining are 100% cotton! There is some stiffness to it that I expect will come out in the wash, but some care will have to be taken with it since it does have actual leather pieces serving as accents, as well as attaching the zipper pulls and strap. The strap is long, and adjustable, with a metal buckle to change the length. If you intend to carry anything truly heavy in it, you'll need a pad for the strap, but otherwise it's just perfect!

Not big enough for travel
The description says small, but it is smaller than I anticipated. I like it as a work bag, but I would not travel with it. There is space for my tablet and my portfolio so I think it will be good for work. It looks professional and the material is good.

My wife says it's "hot"
I've used a small backpack style travel bag for years but wanted to find something that didn't crumple into a ball when the ultralight laptop and 12" tablet aren't in it. I started looking around and found this one which seemed a reasonable price and more effective style, so ordered it. When my wife saw it, she said "that's hot baby!" - not sure what's "hot" about it, but if she thinks so I'm good with that! The material is thick and sturdy (but not rigid), and the strap is not thin either. The pockets provided are spacious except for the one on the outside of the cover flap - that one is not the full size of the cover flag as I wish it were, it's only about half the size. I don't really understand why they wouldn't make the pocket use all the space, but I did manage to get my flat collapsing reader glasses and my earbuds in case into it. A full size glasses case would never fit. The two pockets on the front under the cover flap are just simple pockets, but work well for dropping items into and when I need something I already know which pocket it's in (left or right) and I can rummage around in the pocket and grab it without having to look b/c the opening is large enough. There is also a zipper on the top with extra cloth to allow you to pack the bag to be wider yet still zip it up. I found that hindered my getting tablet, laptop or 8.5x11 padfolio out and I'll never zip it closed, so I cut it out. Now it works perfectly for me and there is still stiching where I cut it so shouldn't have issues with unraveling fully.Overall I like the bag and it's very functional, and doesn't make me look like a backpacker I suppose!

canvas messenger bags are the best
I've had the same canvas messenger bag for almost 20 years and I have put it through so much abuse. It's finally showing enough signs of wear that I decided it was time to replace it. The canvas on this feels about the same quality as the one that lasted me 20 years. The zippers feel sturdy. I like how many pockets it has. I do wish the pocket on the back or the one on the "lid" were bigger. I wonder how long the velcro will last, so I may sew a loop on it so I can fasten it differently in the future. I love that the place the straps are fastened to the bag are re-enforced with leather. The hardware is solid and the stitching looks good. I like the color and will probably sew a patch on it. Now to test whether it will also last twenty years. I think it might, especially since I abuse my stuff a little less than I used to.
