Q: Does it come with metal gears? Some people said it does and others said not.

for the early models most seemed to have plastic, the next batch seemed to have come with plastic but they included free metal gears, latter batches had metal gears. But murphys law says if I answer your question and you then order it, you will likely get plastic. Bet you wish you hadn't read this now :) Best of luck I'd get the 6x6 version though, the 4x version spends all its time on the roof so gears are less likely to matter.
