I thought I'd be writing a poor review - the things were not in a packet so that was a bit embarassing .I've just learned you can tick when ordering, wrap in amazon packaging .So , I can't believe this - I have had a colostomy and have searched for YEARS ! for something to shut my damn noisy stoma up .Well tonight my stoma was super noisy so I put one over my stoma, put a belt over it to keep it in place ,and waited to be mortified at a friends house .I just couldn't believe it when I felt wind coming out and ...... no sound .No smell .I'm in shock .I know to others this may seem mad ! but if you've constantly dreaded going to the cinema , the doctors surgery , being in a quiet meeting because you KNOW there is going be a huge raspberry and all eyes will be on you ! it just seems amazing that actually - these little gems work . I can't say what it is like for "normal" people , but for me , it's just amazing .Please keep making this product :)

I Totally dislked this product...it does not work as it is supposed to...it does not silence the sound at all...the odour as well is not suppressed...I hope I am wrong...could you suggest another brand which is more expensive and which really works...

I thought these would be a funny gift for my friend's birthday... Did not disappoint! Of course, the description DOES say they're effective as well. So of course we had to test the theory!! The package comes with 4 separate covers (2 black and 2 gray) with the actual filters, and also kind of a double-sided sticky tape to hold them to your seat if needed. Each one is a bit smaller than I originally expected, but at the same time it makes them easier to "hide" when using them. Plus it means you really can't feel them while sitting on them. Now, as for effectiveness. The reason I thought these would be a funny gift is because (as you may have guessed) my friend can clear out a room with the wrong food in his stomach! So last Poker Night, we put it to the test. The shockingly fresh air all night was questioned numerous times! We did learn that they don't absorb noise as much as expected, but he wasn't exactly following the instructions of "slowly releasing gas" either... The covers are washable, and the filters are supposed to last up to 2 weeks each. Putting them in heat for 5 to 10 hours is said to reactivate them too, but between all 4 filters I think it'll be awhile before he has to do that. All in all, these WERE a funny gift... But they actually work too. I think purchasing them for actually eliminating gas odor would be completely worth the cost too.
