Is there any reason why after using this that I should also use Chevron's fuel injector cleaner or does this do the same thing?

The fuel injector cleaner is for use every 1,000 miles after the initial use of the complete system cleaner when doing an oil change. My Kia recommends using Chevron system cleaner at every oil change, and I'm also going to put the fuel injector cleaner every 1,000 miles after the oil change. You don't put, both in at the same time.

I found an old unopened bottle of the original concentrate, not the Plus. Probably 10 years old. Is it still OK to use.

Yes, its fine to use. The ingredients don't go bad for maybe 20 plus years or more

it's a real pain to open Techron bottle's seal. do you guys have any tips on opening it easily?

I punch the seal with the end of a closed pocket knife. Makes a large enough opening. You don’t need to peel off the foil seal.

After 30,000 kms odometer reading, this is the first time I added this fuel additive in my X3 30i and got a great result. Picked up the 20 oz (596 ml) bottle. And used it in 150 ml +150 ml + 300 ml in every alternate filling to my 65 ltrs petrol tank. Engine is very much smoother now, no more rough idling at start ups and experiencing instant power surge. Surely will use again after 5000 kms. What disappointing is the price is ever increasing, with-in a span of last two months, price gone up by 1000/- . That is shocking.
