Can you use these to roll dice in?

They are a bit small for rolling multiple dice, but in a pinch I suppose they could work? Here is a video with several sizes of dice for reference. Got a Nat 20, so that's okay. ;) Five D6, 1 D20, one D12 and D10, and six D12s. That last roll might be the limit for accurate rolls because the rounded edges prevented one from laying flat. If you don't mind this, then go for it!

Are they dishwasher safe?

since they are silicone can be in dishwasher as long as secured so can’t move and become dislodged and touch heating element. usually I just hand wash.

How wide are the bowls when snapped?

It's 4 inches wide. They're perfect for my board game needs!

Are the buttons for holding them in the bowl shape silicone or a harder material?

They are silicone as well but hold the bowl in shape well when sitting on a solid base.
