Yes I’ve fixed mine to hallway wall, you have to check length of cable to where you can put it

Q: is this product compatible with cat5 wiring?

Hi friend, You can use cat5 cable to install this video doorbell, put cat5 cable, 8 wire into 4 wire. Follow our user menu to install it. But better video effect is less than 50 meter cable. Also can use below cable for 4T4F 4wire video doorbell: When the working distance is 10meter, use RVV4*0.3mm². if the user wants to lengthen the cable into 10m-30m, use RVV4*0.5mm² connecting wire. if the user wants to lengthen the cable into 30m-50m, use RVV4*0.75mm² connecting wire. The cable of electric-controlled use RVV2*1.0 mm².

Q: What length cable does this come with? What would I need to buy extra to make it work over 20m between bell and screen? Thanks

It comes with 4 metres. Only problem it does not pick the signal up to the bell ...I believe is you have other existing ‘chiming doorbells...they block the signals. It was no good even at 30 metres ... I returned ours. Hope this helps

This video doorbell is no memory function, and night vision is 4 meter vision.
