Can someone tell me how thick the rim of the glass is. The part where you put your mouth, how thick is it?

It's a nice sturdy glass without being too thick or thin. I use them everyday and put them through a full dishwasher and none have broken. The quality is very good and I would definitely buy again.

Are these tempered glass?

They are a nice every day glass! Don't think they are tempered glasses. They go great with a cobalt blue pattern set of dishes. Not can y ,but very useable!
