Scalpmaster Brush/Comb Cleaner

I have to admit: It took me a few minutes to really figure out how best to use this brush cleaner in the most effective way possible.For me, I found that the stray hairs could be removed from my brush using the “pronged” end like a rake...but what was FANTASTIC about this brush cleaner is that you can remove the little lint rings from around the base of your hair brush bristles!!!! Rolling the brush cleaner (the bristle portion) back and forth rapidly (in the direction of motion of the roller) over your hair brush will dislodge all of the lint rings; I recommend doing this over a sink for easy clean up. (My descriptor may not be apt...think of it akin to rolling a sticky lint brush over clothing....only it’s the brush cleaner over your hair brush...).I love it. Worth buying.

I use this item 20 times a day. I have had one for years and bought another. They last for years with daily use. They remove hair for all size combs and long hairs out of brushes. Great for use in salons and barber shops. Run comb through roller and it is free of all hair. Have purchased for othe employees.

This works well

I had been searching for this convenient little tool that cleans brushes and combs, in or out of water for some time. I was happy to find the same tool my mom and grandmother had as a permanent item in the bathroom. I received a box with 6 or 7 orders and though I looked through every piece of packing, this item was not to be found. The vendor was absolutely honorable and when I advised them of the missing item, the same was put in the mail that day. It is always wonderful when one finds a great product and a top vendor in the same place. This brush does 3 or 4 jobs with one tool, and has stood the test of time.

Everyone needs to have one of these, it works as advertised

This product looks SO much larger in the picture than in real life! It is not very big, and can only handle cleaning very small combs and they have to be thin in order to insert into the “rolling brush” cleaning mechanism. The picture also makes it look like the handle is much longer and made of rubber, but it’s made of plastic and is about 3” long. The overall quality is also disappointing, as it feels like a very cheap plastic that probably won’t last very long. However, I think you get what you pay for- for the low price, it’s a decent product that works to some degree to help clean some of my combs, but I don’t expect it to last that long. Still a pretty good purchase given the price and the fact that it does help with cleaning combs, just not as well as I hoped or as versatile. I would definitely caution anyone from trying to use the top “rake” part to clean a brush, as the “rake” is made of pretty thin plastic and will likely break/snap off if you try using it to remove hair from a brush (buy a different product made to clean brushes that has a metal “rake”/teeth—that is much more durable and effective, from someone who’s tried quite a few).Overall, this product is okay and works as well as you can expect for the price. Just be sure to read the description carefully so you know what you’re getting because the pictures are a little bit deceiving.Hopefully someone finds this helpful, as there were not many reviews or real pictures when I was researching to buy this!

I have used this with my Revlon brush dryer and it works great for lifting the hair from the bristles so I can easily remove them. It also works great with my hair brushes.

Not even worth a one star rating. Don't waste your money on this. The rotating brush popped out immediately, and reinserting it doesn't work because the wire is not long enough to make it stay in place. I won't bother returning it because the amount of gas I'll use driving to the nearest Kohl's and back is more than half the cost of this flimsy piece of junk. It'd be throwing good money after bad. (Maybe my cat will run off with the brush like karas2495's cat did.)
