Forest School Adventure: Outdoor Skills and Play for Children

After buying 30 books for my nature school for ages 6-12, this book ranks 1 or 2 out of 30. Every single page has another idea & theme. Tons of great content. Very useful.

Wow. Words can't sum up the wonder that is this book. Beautifully laid out, a wealth of information, and age appropriate material. What a rich gift this book is! Bravo to the team that put his together.

This is a great book to take on a camping trip or for a vacation in a cabin in the woods. My 14 yo played the forest school teacher and my 7 yo was her eager forest school teacher.

This book is so lovingly thought out and thorough! I bought it for our 9 year old son, since he's at the age where he can start learning some outdoor life skills. It is fun, engaging, easy to follow, and has better basic skills than my adult bushcrafting books contain! Especially the knot tying section, basic knife safety and use, and campfire cooking. Alot of the activities are good for sharing with a group of young outdoorsy kids!

Love the book, arrived in torn package, the bottom edge of book is all bent up. Not real happy as this is a gift.

I was blown away by the quality of content in this book. The images, the stories, the instruction, and the wide variety of exercises~ all so good. Some of their photos could be museum pieces (I feel). If you are at all interested in Nature Connection education, this will be a wonderful addition to your library. These guys really nailed it....as they have obviously lived and breathed it.So grateful~JM

I just got this book a couple days ago for my 9 year old. I think I love the book just as much as him and have already learned a few things from it. We are excited to venture out and do some of the activities. The pictures are all in color and look great. The layout is really nice too. Fun learning and survival activities with simple directions!

I love the content and the guidance in this book. It provides clear lessons to help engage the kids in your life and introduce them to the world that is non electrical. It provides good advice on helping to grow the kids curiosity in the world around them. UK Centric but not an issue

Very nice gift for my 8 year old boy who loves outdoors and “survival”. He was mesmerized when reading the book and proud to share what he has learned. I’ve ordered before Christmas probably too late for the busy season and didn’t get it until after Christmas.

Great photos & instructions

My granddaughter recently went camping and took the book along (she is 6, and it was her decision to take it). Apparently she did quite a few of the activities described in this book, and had fun with it.
