A beautiful, high-quality watch

A fantastic Seiko watch, classy and slim. It might be a little too small for some, so if you have large wrists or if you're a big guy, this one might not be for you.

I'm in my late 70s and though I carry a smart phone, I normally don't refer to the phone to tell the time...makes no sense to me to pull out the phone to look at the time when a quick glance at my wrist is quicker. Of course that may just be habit, after all, 7 decades is enough time to make any habit almost impossible to break especially since I've worn a watch since childhood. Though all my other watches have round faces, the thought of a classic "tank" style watch has intrigued me for years, so I pulled the trigger on this one as I'm not about to spend the thousands of dollars on a Cartier at my age. This is Sieko's model of a tank watch and it looks remarkably like the original design. Did have a few disconcerting minutes getting used to the shape on my wrist, but I'm over it...this may become my every day watch. I've had Sieko watches before and trust the quartz movements to keep accurate time and am sure this will be no different and it looks GOOD, At this price, I'd recommend it and it will set huge wearer apart from the masses.

It is what you would expect. I ordered the swr064 for dinner events or special occasions. I love the fact that it is a quartz watch, because it will always be ticking and be ready to wear without the need to set it up. I say no need to set it up because its caliber movement is simply very good and reliable. The leather strap, to me personally fits really comfortably on the wrist and I don't think of swapping it with other straps. For the price this watch stands, is definitely worth considering.

I wasn’t sure if buying a watch like this on Amazon would be legit, but I decided to risk it. I’m a bit of a “Seikopath”; It showed up in a real seiko box. And I was stunned when I opened it up it is such a beautiful piece. The band is not what I expected! It has more of a brown tinge to it, and the inside of the strap has a very nice soft leather meticulously sewn in. It’s very comfortable to wear. All around, you really can’t go wrong for the price. Purchased this for $227 with shipping included.
