The media could not be loaded. The flame on this luminar Led candle looks very realistic and gives out a warm white glow. There is an on and off button with a timer on the bottom of the candle and this candle does take two AAA batteries so once you have set the timer this candle will stay lit for 5hrs and shut off for 19hrs.

Only worked for a few weeks hopefully this isn't representative of this product..I've had them before and lasted years..I'm hoping the supplier does something about it.

The media could not be loaded. Unlike the larger, real wax Luminara candles with the realistic scalloped edges, this smaller candle has a plastic pillar with a flat top.During daylight hours, it does look less realistic than the larger ones, however during the evening, it produces a lovely, real looking flame that gives an attractive moving effect.The plastic pillar does mean that it's much better for outside use and less likely to be ruined by the weather, although the candles shouldn't be used in the rain! It's perfect for outside tables, decorations, pumpkins, etc. It's also great for indoor use too.The candle requires 2 x AAA batteries to operate (not included) and will also work with the Luminara remote, but that isn't included with this particular candle.There's a simple to operate on/off button on the bottom. The first press switches the candle on, the second activates the timer and the third press switches it off.On the timer setting, the candle will come on for 5 hours per day. It works really well and means that you don't need to constantly switch it off and on.The price is a little high for such a small candle, but overall it's lovely - it's less realistic looking than the larger ones, but works just as well and it's a better option for outside use.
