SAMSUNG 43" 4K Smart LED TV, 2018 Model

This review is for the 65' bought on Amazon, received on Saturday, Nov. 23 2019. I was skeptical of the 6100 series tv, and initially thought I might regret not getting the 7100 or 8100 series instead. However, after just a few days with it, I love it. I upgraded from a 46' Sony Bravia HD, so this new tv is substantially bigger, and quite an upgrade from HD to 4K.I wont comment on the 'smart' features yet since I haven't really used them because i instead have it connected to my A.V receiver (for 5.1 surround sound) and to an Xbox One S console which already features an App Dashboard.The TV screen is sharp, clear, and bright. The built in 4k up-scaling features work great, and makes HD content seems so much clearer now. I haven't noticed any auras, or halos, or slow screens. I watched Avengers Endgame recently on it, and the picture was flawless. I've also played a few games on it, (Halo: Master Chief Collection, Modern Warfare: Remastered, Guacamole II, etc) and the colors, contrast, etc is amazing!I'll update my review after a few months as I've only had it a few days now, but so far i'm blown away by the clarity and the value (I paid $477.00 during an early black Friday sale). Anyone who is like me who likes to compare before they buy, i strongly suggest you consider this model.Edit: it's now Feb 2022, and I've since upgraded my XOne S to an Xbox Series X. This tv checks off most of the compatible boxes with the new console including HDR, 4k games and streaming, and up to 60hz refresh rate. It is not however compat with 2.1 hdmr, so keep that in mind. Regardless, it works very well and looks gorgeous with new Series X games in 4k, optimized 360 games, and also 4k digital content like films, TV shows and live sports (NFL playoffs look amazing on this set). So Def still a very worthy tv set.

I actually purchased this for my grandparents and they are pretty overwhelmed with the picture quality of this unit.The cost is crazy good. It is a 2018 unit so it may not have all the stuff that the newer models have but it works great for them. The only thing I noticed was that the speakers were not as loud as I expected but I needed to turn it up for them anyway so it wasn't much of an issue. The remote is also super easy to operate. We have multiple Samsung units in our home and have been completely satisfied with all of them.

Idk why people would give this a bad review. Picture is super good for under 600 bucks. I haven't connected it to wifi yet but screen mirroring from my s10 without wifi was easy. Just turned on screen mirroring on my phone and the tv came up. Selected it and hit ok on the phone and it was connected. No ads probably bc it isn't connected to internet but the tv itself is very easy to use. Picture quality is awesome for a 600 dollar tv. I have zero complaints. Maybe I'm just easy to please but for the money spent and it's a 70 inch tv that's not a cheap brand like tcl (I have a 55 inch tcl) the difference is insane. 600 bucks for a 70 inch Samsung smart tv is a steal. 5 stars all day.

To the point:If you want a cheap option to replace older TV technology, already have a streaming device and want a great picture without paying, this is your huckleberry. It has little to no issues with ghosting or keeping up with live sports action. Can't say after six months I've even noticed those issues.Longer to the point:I'm not sure why people are in a frenzy of frustration with this TV. You know you're paying like $400 or so for a huge TV, right? Two HDMI ports, correct. But are you still plugging in your DVD, VHS, Stereofonic HiFi and 8 track into TVs? I don't use the smart TV features so no idea if that sucks or not. Don't care. Buy an AppleTV for $150 and use that as your smart/everything. I turn on the AppleTV and it fires up the TV. I see the TV/smart interactive part for about two seconds then it disappears and gives way to AppleTV. I don't see and never have seen ads. No idea what that's all about. If you want a TV with more inputs, has better smart features, and whatever else is your problem, spend more on a TV.

This TV replaces a 40" Samsung. A positive is that I can access all my streaming services without any additional devices -- CBS All Access was not previously available. By connecting an OTA antenna, it automatically discovered the available channels and works flawlessly. Initial setup was simple. Picture is great. Some disappointments were 1) remote is old style with all the buttons instead of the "smart" remote, 2) volume control will not control sound bar connected through optical cable, 3) will not recognize 5GHz WiFi connection. This TV may disappoint a videophile but for casual streaming and OTA use, it works great.

I just got the TV and on delivery the box was damaged. It actually looks as if the box had been set in a mud puddle. I brought it in my house and the box soaked my carpet. Although the tv seems to work so far; the setup wasn't easy because of lack of information in the manual. There are not very many connection ports so I may have to purchase a one box connect to hook up my devices.

My 3 year warranty ended in February 2023. The TV, out of nowhere just stopped working before thanksgiving. It just switches from a black screen to a grey screen. The price was very low, probably for this reason.

After having read the one star reviews I was hopeful but expected the icons to be a problem. They were part of the set up, nothing more. Once I turn on the TV after going thru the set-up I didn't have any problem and it continues to this day. Though I have only had the TV for a short time, I am amazed at the detail. The only draw back is the sound. As a result and to bet all the different levels of sound, I run it thru my stereo. I have always bought Samsung TVs, and they seem to be getting better all the time. This TV's technology is two years old and it is why I'm pay such a low price for the TV, it suits me fine.

I ordered this to replace a failed monitor on a computer. It came a full day sooner than the earliest delivery date mentioned in the purchase agreement. Being 120Hz it is noticeably snappier with shifting screens, moving to a location etc. It was more than expected. A beautiful scene. The slight negative is not really a negative. Ones video card needs to be 4K capable. A lower rating card does not size things properly leaving icons etc very large. Upgrading to a 4K video card will unleash the full potential of this TV. I did not try using the TV or Smart TV features so I cannot comment on those functions. It is excellent as a large screen computer monitor.

Product was easy to setup, light weight, decent smart features & economical...one of the few critiques would be that there’re only two HDMI ports.
