Works as it should. Wish Insta360 would have confirgured it differently as far as the plugs go sticking out the side instead of downwards.

This adapter fits into the X5 perfectly. You do have to pop off the little door that covers the charging port, but it comes off easily and isn't a big deal. Once attached, this essentially gives the X5 a standard 3.5mm mic input, which opens the door to way better audio options. I've tested it with regular 3.5mm mics and also ran it through a 3.5mm to XLR adapter cable and both worked without any problems. If you want cleaner, more professional sound from higher quality microphones, this adapter gets the job done. The audio quality upgrade is immediately noticeable, the build feels solid, and everything just works as it should. For me, this turned into a must have accessory for the X5, and I'm very happy with the results. I can definitely recommend this if you're trying to step up your audio game.
