Review: Pleasantly surprised - I almost didn't buy this 2-CDS compilation because I only recognized 3 or 4 songs on the list but just finished listening to both CD and love it! There were several songs that I had heard on the radio but didn't know the Kinks did them. There were many songs that I had never heard before but love them. Out of the 48 songs there are only about 2 that I skip. That is pretty amazing when I normally skip several songs on most CD's. If you like the Kinks at all then you will love this compilation. It is one of the few I found by them that had Celluloid Heroes on it and that is one of my favorite songs by them.

I almost didn't buy this 2-CDS compilation because I only recognized 3 or 4 songs on the list but just finished listening to both CD and love it! some favorites from the Kink Kronikle collections are not included here, like Mr. Pleasant, Wonderboy, Fancy, and the original Lola from 1970. but what you do have is still a great double disc filled with Ray's genius writing and The Kinks' brilliant music. LOVE IT
