these work. end result looks good. no sag using 3 brackets per 24" of 8"x1.5" solid maple board. However - 2 things to be aware of. Be prepared with a 1/2" bit that is long enough to drill the holes you'll need in the back of the shelf. (6" bit won't do it for a 6" bracket) Secondly, the drywall anchors are terrible - to work properly the screw needs to bust through the anchor when setting it and about half of mine refused to set - which means the anchor starts spinning in the wall which enlarges the hole and essentially makes that anchor worthless. That was the most frustrating part of installing these. (in retrospect, probably best to use your own quality drywall anchors.

Great quality! We have purchased and repurchased many times for client projects and our own home projects! Hold a good amount of weight, we use real solid wood with these and they hold up great

If you want level shelves, might want to find something different. I wish they worked! But after the mollies (designed for drywall) totally failed and tore out of the wall, I had to find studs. This created more problems, and we had to drill more holes in our walnut shelves than the original! After all that, we figured out that the brackets aren't only irregular, the 1/2" bars aren't even mounted onto the backs the same. So, with much sweat and frustration, we have slanted shelves.. had to force them on with a rubber mallet.

The holes are spaced just wide enough you can only hit the stud once, or you have to angle your screws to hit twice and then you can’t push the shelf flush. Only relevant if you need to hit the stud, which I did, but it’s annoying regardless.

These were easy to install in our homemade 2x8 shelf with the included jig. However, it was quite difficult to install the shelf evenly on the wall. Part of that is probably due to our use of cheaper 2x8, but it was difficult to align and mark the wall, and both of our shelves ended up slightly warped and imperfect. We are ok with that, but we were hoping for a better finished product
