Nice mix of clear and tinted shades
This lip oil balm set is great if you like that glossy finish without the sticky feel. The formula feels really smooth and moisturizing, and it actually helps with dry lips instead of just sitting on top. The coconut vanilla scent is subtle — sweet, but not overpowering — and adds a nice little touch. You get a mix of clear and tinted shades, so it’s easy to switch it up depending on your mood. The tint is pretty sheer, which works well for a natural look or layering over lip liner. The shine is noticeable but still feels lightweight, which is nice for everyday wear. For a 5-pack, the value feels good, especially since the formula is vegan and has that skincare-meets-gloss vibe. Great to keep one in your bag, car, bathroom, wherever.

LOVE this!
Okay I’m picky about lip colors. I don’t like traditional lipstick, and frequently use lip stains with balm on top of them, but sometimes the lip stain I like isn’t quite enough color, or isn’t glossy enough for me. These are the PERFECT solution to that! They are so so hydrating, very glossy, and the color is buildable, so I have control over how much tint there is. I love these, and use them all, frequently!

Colors are great, but these are more akin to glosses, not lip oils
This is a review of Saltair - Lip Oil Balm Conditioning Lip Oil - 5 Pack - Essential Shades Bundle - Sheer Buildable Color - Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Lip Treatment - Coconut Vanilla Flavor - 0.50 Fl Oz (2.5 Fl Oz) ($45)SHADES- This comes with a clear and 4 shades (Toasted, Cocoa, Acai, and Dragonfruit)- The variation is great.- I’ve worn a different one each day.- Since my lips are chapped right now, I find myself gravitating towards the clear, because any coloring ends up showing up most on my dry areas.- Even if your lips aren’t dry, the colors will settle in any lines you have. So, my current favorite color order is clear > cacao > acai > toasted > dragonfruit.Clear - obviously clear.Cacao - a dark brown, which I absolutely love. I am acutally shocked by this, because normally I would tend towards a red, specifically bright or deep dark red, but not a brown. I used to love browns in the late 90’s early 2000’s, but I haven’t worn them much since.Acai - a dark purple. If this had a little more red to it, it would probably be my favorite. I still like it a lot, but it’s just more of a blue purple than I usually wear.Toasted - lighter brown. This reminds me of the color of Korres cinnamon lip treatment/lipstick.Dragonfruit - this is a pink, kinda mauvy.LONGEVITYIf you aren’t drinking or eating, they stay on for hours and during that time, my lips feel moisturized in the same way they do if I wear chapstick. However, I do not feel like they provided any lasting hydration; my lips feel the same before and after wear. That said, at least I don’t feel like they are dehydrating or stripping my lips, which happens with some products.VALUEI wouldn’t usually buy a set of colors, but if I hadn’t I would not have tried Cacao, so perhaps other people will also find that they like colors they didn’t think they would. For $45 you get 5, which works out to $9/each.FLAVOR/SCENTEach of these lip “oil balms” have the same flavor: coconut vanilla.CONSISTENCY/TERMINOLOGYI put “oil balms” in parentheses because I don’t feel like that is an appropriate categorization for these. To me, they are more akin to lip glosses than balms or oils. These are not slick like an oil, nor are they thick like a balm/chapstick. They have the consistency of a gloss and they feel sticky. The first ingredient in them is petrolatum. You have to get 11 ingredients in before you find an oil, and that’s castor oil. Actually, the only clear oils I see listed in the ingredients are castor oil and coconut oil. That said, they do have some other good ingredients, like shea and murumuru butter, as well as various extracts. But, if these were true lip oils, I would expect to more oils, or at least listed as one of the first few ingredients.Likewise, I wouldn’t say they are balms, in the sense that traditional balms are waxier and thicker, like salves.THAT SAID, I realize that lip oils and lip balms is trending right now. So, I think a lot of companies are trying to jump on the bandwagon and rebrand what we would have considered a glass 10 years ago.INGREDIENTS:Petrolatum, Diisostearyl Malate, Polybutene, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Phytosteryl/Isostearyl/Cetyl/Stearyl/Behenyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Octyldodecanol, Microcrystalline Wax, Flavor, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Synthetic Wax, Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Mica, Siraitia Grosvenorii (Monk) Fruit Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower seed) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), BHT, Citric Acid. Then the colorants: [+/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499), Red 33 Lake (CI 17200), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090)].Overall, I like these, I just think of them as glosses.

The Perfect Blend of Hydration and Color with Saltair's Lip Oil Bundle!
I recently got my hands on the Saltair Lip Oil Balm Conditioning Lip Oil - 5 Pack. This essential shades bundle includes five fabulous lip oils: Acai, Clear, Toasted, Cacao, and Dragon Fruit. While I adore them all, my absolute favorite has to be Dragon Fruit—it's the perfect shade of pink that instantly brightens up my look! The buttery feel of these lip oils is heavenly, and they provide great hydration without feeling sticky. They’re perfect for layering over my regular lip stains and liners, adding a beautiful shine and a hint of sheer color.I also appreciate the thoughtful packaging; it came in reusable and recyclable materials, which is a huge plus for me as someone who cares about sustainability. Plus, knowing that it's a U.S.-based product makes it even better!

Worth the hype?
I had no idea these were some crazed TikTok item until after receiving the item. Each balm comes in a resealable bag, which I like it being minimalist, versus individual boxes. The variety of colors means that every skin tone can have a neutral that will match nicely. The oils are high gloss, but I do wish they offered a bit more conditioning, and I find them to be relatively sticky.

Great set of lip color! Cruelty free!
This is a great set of lip colors! The texture is smooth and not sticky. The colors are great and very versatile. Everyone could find something that works for them regardless of their complexion. The packaging is recyclable, but I do wish there wasn't quite so much of it, but I understand why it is necessary. It's also cruelty free, which is a must for me! Overall, a great set!
