Seals up the bilge area of a boat nicely
Follow the instructions on the can, allow proper time between coats and apply it when the humidity is at the right levels (this is a key part) and this product works amazing. I redid the stringers in my boat, sealed it all up with a epoxy resin. Scuffed the dry resin to give the bilge paint something to grab and a nice clean surface (new epoxy meant no oil or grease that cause fisheyes or poor adhesion). This stuff covered in one coat, but I had so much left, I went ahead and did a 2nd coat just because I had no other use for this (a quart goes a LONG way if done right) and it left a beautiful finish to the entire engine compartment of my boat. Once it set up, you can wipe any dirt or oil/grease that drips down from your inboard engine with ease. This product is wonderful and easy to maintain. Just make sure you don't put it on in really high humidity because it will make it so it'll never want to dry. Follow that simple piece of advice and this product will seal up your transom, bilge area with no problem at all. Nice thick product that lays down and flows out so you see no brush/roller strokes. It comes in many colors to fit your personal preference. We love this stuff and even found that we liked it enough to do the floor in the shed under the go karts, race cars and lawn mowers because it repels oil and grease, which allows super easy clean up. If you are going to use multiple coats though, make sure you allow proper time to "flash/dry" between coats or it will seal off/over and never want to feel fully dry. Remember, this isn't normal house paint, it is a coating that is meant to repel water, oil, grease, or other mechanical fluids like antifreeze or transmission fluid. For that purpose, it works wonders

It works well
I cleaned our bilges and applied per the label directions. It works rather well. If you want a thick coat, there is no need for thinner/reducer unless you get it on your skin. Then the thinner takes it off well. It applies to your project straight out of the can, no hardner to mix in. It is extremely fuming to the area applied to, so be prepared to have ventilation of some sort. I left the door and windows open, put the cover on & went home 8 hours later after applying to the cabin bilges. I used a cheap brush in difficult areas, and a foam 4 inch mini roller in the wide open spots. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome. It is a bit pricey in my opinion, but again, it works well. Good Luck!

Great pool rail paint!!
This stuff is THE BEST!!’ I used with this paint over their primer on my aluminum pool rails. I have painted the rails almost every year and they start peeling in a month and are totally lifted by the Michigan spring. It has been only 2 months but the stuff is hard and amazing!! Looks nice and shiny too. I was surprised that the paint could not be spread as it is so thick. I brushed painted and thinned with xylene thinner as required. I bought thinner at ACE hardware as I didn’t want to wait to start the project. Used a brush and leveling is good, no strokes. I scraped and sanded. My sanding job was not the best and it still stuck and looks good. Would have been easier if the rails were off the pool but I did while on and was just careful. I will report back this spring on how it held up over winter.

Great paint for a pool coping
We have always had a struggle with getting the right paint for our coping. It is aluminum and we had multiple layers of paint on top of the coping. After time they would chip off or just look bad. After stripping the coping, I was looking for a marine grade Primer and paint. I saw Total Boat and ordered the paint, but couldn’t find the primer on Amazon. I called the company and ordered the epoxy primer. Apparently it is also on Amazon, but I couldn’t find it. Anyway, we put the Total Boat primer on top of the aluminum (and on top of JB Weld that filled in holes in the aluminum), and we are very satisfied with the result. The paint goes on, very smooth and flows into the brushstrokes, and leaves a very smooth shiny surface to have water bead off of it. You must be properly dressed, and wear a mask/nitrile gloves because of the fumes, but it was worth all the effort.

Product is exactly as advertised. Amazon packaging, not so much.
The can is fairly heavy. Was placed inside way to light a box for the item, and with no inside cushioning or packing. The can is bent in several places. Someone either lacks training, or doesn't give a rip if it gets there in one piece or not. The paint is what matters and it did the job very well. Went on easily, set up quickly and glossed over for a very nice finish. Job looks great. 5 stars for the paint, 2 stars for Amazon packing and 4 over-all because the product made it here and did the job.

Great product.
Takes a few days to cure. Don't touch it for at least 3 days in high humidity. I'd buy again. Goes on super easy and smooth.

Paint wrinkled leaving a textured finish
I recently switched to try Total Boat products. I restore Vintage jetskis. The application of the Total Bildge first coat went well and looked good. I had a few spots that I could see through to the hull. I waited 24 hours, lightly sanded, and applied the second coat. While applying the second coat, I could see wrinkles starting to appear. The second coat curdled the first coat and left a textured wrinkle finish. My customer will not accept this problem and I now have to remove all of this paint. A painstaking and not profitable endevor. I tried to get support from the website but I could not get past the Chat Bot that pulled up no relevant documentation. I need a way to fix this problem without sandblasting the bildge.
