Great value
I haven't used this yet, however I do love that it came with a reusable zipper pouch too keep everything organized and tidy. I would like to see it come with smaller frosting tips for micro mini size making and maybe when smaller cutters. And maybe we some helpful instructions and or some colorants to color the white tubes? But the price for this kit, I would definitely buy again. The packaging was good

Finicky Fun
You're going to run out of materials playing with this, so hunt down refills right now, usually from Japanese brands for the soft frosting. (Or mix a little water into the soft air-dry.)Also, after you take everything out of the nice zipper bag to inspect it, you are never getting it all back in. Be prepared with a larger and air-tight box, that can then hold your replacement air-dry clay, too. Then you will have to buy bags of little decorations, like citrus and strawberry slices, and nail art "caviar," and all the other stuff you will acquire if you stick with this. The decorations box probably leaked a bit in transit. There's a lot here to hit the compartment lids and lift them. Just take everything out and find the decorations in the bottom of the bag. Pour them in one of the dishes and pick them up with the tweezers, if you care about sorting them. This is probably not a good place to learn to decorate cakes, because miniatures just don't have as much margin for error. Take a note from full-sized practice: when you don't get it as tidy as you wish, just pick the decoration off with a thin blade and put it back in the bag. Did that a hundred times with real frosting, not just when learning. For me, this is nostalgic. I learnt cake-decorating from my father, and did it into my twenties. This is stepping back to it a half-century later. I got out of it because, face it, people just eat the thing, and I wasn't trying to compete with anyone in decorating (no one else I knew was doing it back then; it was kind of a superpower). Most men prefer something that looks like food they can dig into, anyway, rather than wrecking art. These are permanent, once you let them dry.The permanent items in the kit are nice, too. I got it mainly for the tiny cone tips: price them individually some time, if you can find them. They are mostly star tips with two leaf tips. I could wish a couple of the stars had been writing tips, putting out a smooth string you can use for more than birthday wishes, from festoons and pearls to lattices. The cutter/molds are very nice, too. If you want a smooth surface on the top of your cake, roll out the clay to thickness between sheets of plastic wrap, and don't let the top one wrinkle. If you are making round cake, you can save on clay by rolling it in thin sheets you cut and put on a bottle cap the right size, like you would a sheet of fondant. The inclusion of the silver cake circles like the real ones come on is just extra, and cute. The cake dome is very high quality. Nothing had to be cleaned up on it.

Great for a pre-teen or older
This has a lot of small parts and I don't recommend for children that still like to put things in their mouth, but this is a great learning toy for older children. This is a great way to learn how to design baked goods and very easy to make adjustments. This also helps layout a design you really want to make. Since there are a lot of little parts, care must be taken not to lose them, they scatter easily. I had low expectations to start and was pleasantly surprised.

Good value, fun set. Dries out quickly though!
The "frosting" tubes and the "cake" dough dry out quickly even if left untouched, so you won't want to wait to use this set once you get it. But the tools are good to use with replacement materials, and for the price of this set, it's still a great value for everything you get! It's a fun way to practice the techniques. I wanted to make an Aunt Petunia's Pudding, so this set didn't have the colors I needed (purple and green frosting, and red "cherry" beads and white base frosting, but the techniques and tools helped me to practice so I wasn't messing up my first try, and this set was a more affordable way to get the tools versus others I was looking at!

Cute set, but clay is too dry to use
This set comes with 2 packs of foam clay, but mine were too dry to get the right consistency. I've used foam clay many times before, but not this off-brand quality. I tried wetting it with water, but it wouldn't condition properly. I wasn't able to try the icing, because there is nothing to ice, but the rest of the kit is decent quality. The plastic plates/container are thick and sturdy, and I love the assortment of artificial sprinkles and toppings. Those are time consuming to make at home. The icing bags come prefilled, but the tips are off, so I'm not sure how to use them, as the tips/couplers are attached before you fill the bag. It's a cute set, but it needs improving.

We had so much fun!
We had so much fun with this kit. It comes with everything you need to make dozens of tiny cakes or really whatever you’d like. It dries quick and stays a little “fluffy” if thag makes sense. Easy for my 13 year old
