FirstChoiceCandy Roasted and Salted Kernel Pumpkin Seeds (Pepitas) 3 Pound

I finally opened my order 6/23/2020 only to find out THEY ARE NOT SALTED ! Hey and guess what, I can't return them, it only been 12 days yet I cant return a definetly bad order. So now I will have to find a better source for my pumpkin seeds. This is very disappointing. I eat these as snacks and so does my 94 year old mom. Without salt they taste undesirable. Other then that I guess they r ok. I order 3 pounds every couple of months and this is the 1st time a "bad" order was received but since I didn't open them right away so now I'm stuck wih un eatable seeds. Bummer.Now technically I cant blame the seller because it does say salted on the bag. BUT THEY aren't. SO KNOW WHAT ? order from here again ? I dont think so.Buyer Beware.Updated6-27-2021I ordered a salted order and they came salted. This order is a invitingly different flavor. Yes they r salted this time. The flavor is uniquely different and I like it. I dont know what the growing difference is but I wish all pumpkin seeds tasted like these. 5 star fur sure !The 1st batch last year suxked but these are the exact opposite. I want more.Still skeptical but I will risk it another order.Dave C Stout

I think these seeds may be contaminated. Perhaps the pumpkin was sprayed with something not approved? They are from China and only packaged in CA. Gave my husband terrible diarrhea and we are now into the GI doctors office for six weeks of diarrhea. I'd steer clear

I first got these pumpkin seeds several months ago and absolutely loved them. I went through them so fast that I quickly hit re-order (just went to my previous order and hit buy again). Well, what I got for my second order was in no way the same pumpkin seeds. They were hard, dry and had no salt. One assumes when you hit buy again that you're going to get the same exact product you received the first time. As they were so expensive I decided not to throw them away. When I make protein muffins I crush them and add them to the muffins. Just so I won't have wasted $20.00. I will definitely never by from this seller again. I feel like I was a victim of the old 'bait and switch'.

This was my first time buying this product and I couldn't be happier with the great quality. I would consider the pumpkin seeds to be lightly salted and while they are not giant-sized seeds, they are plenty big enough and super fresh and delicious. I had a hard time staying away from them once I opened the bag; they are that good. The price beats anything on the market and I have so much (3 lbs) that I have enough for endless snacking, baking and sprinkling on salads for a long, long time. Will definitely buy again!

I love pepitas. I go through five pounds every two weeks. In the past, I have order the Just Nuts brand and have been very happy with the quality. I ordered the FirstChoiceCandy brand because I wanted to try something different. The FirstChoiceCandy pepitas are way too salty for my taste--they tasted like somebody emptied a whole box of Morton salt in the bag. IAlso, the seeds were not very crunchy and they tasted more like sunflower seeds than pepitas. If you are looking for lightly salted, crunchy pepitas, do not buy this brand.

Have to say, that I have eaten a lot of pumpkin and/or pepitas seeds over the years. These are simply the best, hands-down. They are fresh, lightly salted, nicely roasted, and addicting - to say the least.Will definitely purchase them again, when my supply runs out. Glad I took a chance, and ordered them!

These are less expensive compared to other brands of similar quantity, but they are VERY salty. I’ve been placing a handful between paper towels and rubbing some of the salt off because I can’t eat them with the excessive amount of salt that is on them. Minus the excess salt, they go taste great. I wouldn’t buy them again just because of this issue though.

These roasted pumpkin seeds, or pepitas, are delicious. They are nice and small. Nicely crunchy. Plentiful. Very pleased. I was a little nervous committing to a 3lb bag as sometimes the ones I got from the grocery store were not that good, but I am glad I took the chance. I store these in an air tight container and they are staying fresh. Great buy.
