This fits a regular 500ml/16 oz. water bottle. I ordered in bulk because the first one I bought at a gift shop in Seaside cost about 2x more, and because we have out-of-town guests visiting in spring and summer. These are great for sightseeing, long walks, and hiking. It can also hold a medium size water bottle, but too tall for canned soda or short children's water bottles, and not big enough for sports bottles. The Minion water bottle in the photo holds 24 oz., and it's a perfect fit -- but not for the pink double-wall water bottle with the same capacity. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not what I expected - shoulder strap is too short *by A***R on May 11, 2021* I purchased a water bottle holder several years ago when visiting Machu Picchu in Peru. We have used it for hikes for years and I wanted to get more so all my kids and my wife could have one. When I got my order I was disappointed to find that is not the same as the holder I bought in Peru. The bottle pocket is much larger, not the snug fit on a 500 mL bottle I was expecting. I do understand this because many people use larger Nalgene or insulated bottles so I am not surprised. The real issue is that the shoulder strap is very short. I cannot carry the strap across my body or the bottle is in my armpit. I can only use the strap on my shoulder so it falls off easily and is still too short.
