What is the optimal specifications of the roll of labels?

GW Kent model is much more expensive than $1000 and has poor reviews due to several problems. The LAB01 will handle labels from 1" to 6.5" width and .5" to 12" length. For only $695, there is not a better Manual Bottle Label Applicator available. For a quality electric model, plan on spending close to $2000.

How heavy do the bottles that are being labeled need to be? Mine have been too light to work with other labeling machines.

I have used PET bottles filled and empty and they work well no problems. The smallest used was the 350ml filled and the largest 750ml empty

Can you use this machine to apply clear labels? If so, what are the requirements for the clear label roll? Thickness of liner?

Yes, the LAB01 can apply clear labels and the standard 40 pound liner is sufficient to run on this machine. The LAB01 is designed for cylinder shaped containers. If your container tapers or has ridges that prevents it from laying flat on the LAB01, you will not be able to successfully apply your labels. Many customers contact START International directly (972-248-1999 or service@startinternational.com) with assistance for determining if their containers and labels are a good match for the LAB01 before purchasing on Amazon. START International also provides free testing of your labels and container and will create a video for you to view.

can I try to use the machine for a tube with 10mm diameter?

The minimum diameter for the LAB01 is 12.70mm, which is close to "lipstick size". Unfortunately, 10mm is too small of a diameter to fit correctly on the rollers.
