What
An interesting book. I find it hard to believe this man knew nothing of what his subordinates were doing as far as recruiting goes, as he professes. As head coach it is his responsibility to know. As the saying goes, “the buck stops here”. Although he hasn’t been indicted, Pitino seems to blunder from one scandal to the next. It’s not enough to say he just didn’t know anything. I enjoyed the first part of the book about his playing career and early coaching experiences.

Must read
Fantastic read that sure seems to be a classic case of "guilty until proven innocent". Pitino's words seem genuine and detailed which makes me wonder how much of the story the media originally ran with painted a tarnished picture of what really happened . Maybe some wanted to protect their own rear end, make a name for themselves or maybe the truth wouldn't sell like fiction but it seems there are many holes in the story that came out in 2017.

Tells it like it is
Whether you like the man or not, this is a book you should read to understand some of the inner workings of college basketball-the seedy underbelly that we all know goes on. What you may not understand is the impact the shoe companies and the AAU coaches have on these basketball players. Read the book!

Pros and cons
I met Rick ,back in the 90s. When he first came to Kentucky, he had a new book, which he sighed for me.Papa John's pizza, had a convention Rick was the keynote speaker. The John S.part surprised me. A lot of what he said about the fans is so, I know most the people he wrote about.I think he blamed everyone except Rick. He did give a lot of insight into how the shoe company's control the college's. He is right he should have stayed at KY.As a UK fan I wish him the best.

I really want Coach Pitino to trust me enough online to sign my book for me so please show him this review because I need a signed Pitino book for my sports memorabilia collection and not at all for ironic purposes please

Good read
I bet you’ll be surprised with just how human and passionate Coach Pitino is. This book is a great read for not just Cardinal fans but any doubter who thinks they know the whole story. Before you jump to conclusion, hear his side.

The unlimited power of the NCAA needs to be curbed.
Rick Pitino was denied due process before he was fired by the University of Louisville. I graduated from UofL in 1953 and the action of the University Board is reprehensible. Buy the book, it will open your eyes.
