Per the label on the bottle: "Ingredients: water, fragrance (fragrance and essential oils), glycerin" Hope that helps!

Is it normal that the liquid has separated and needs to be shaken to combine the dark colored oils and the clear liquid?

Yes. I don't use the Sea Salt mist as often, so I just checked it & found the liquids separated. I shake the bottles before misting so hadn't really noticed the separation. The other Frankincense & Myrrh I use more often so it doesn't have time to settle/separate. This doesn't impact the smell, so I would say it's normal.
