Flexatarian Whey Protein Isolate, Chocolate, 2 Pound

This is a great whey isolate! What I like the most is the relatively short ingredient list and the lack of chemicals. No acesulfame or other untested chemicals! Because it's an isolate, it has little to no cholesterol, sugar and fat.I don't really understand the 1 star reviews. I have only used the vanilla and I always mix it with low/no fat milk (personal preference), so I can't speak for the chocolate or how it mixes with water.I find the flavor to be fine (certainly not objectionable in any way) and it compliments well for smoothies, pancakes etc. Sure, it's a got a little sweetness to it due to the stevia used for sweetening, but that's what happens with stevia. At least it's a natural, low glycemic, sweetner. It's not really noticeably more or less sweet in comparison to other protein powders I've used (Combat, BSN etc) before becoming aware of the unknowns in their lengthy ingredient lists.I haven't tried in a shaker cup, but it blends really well in blender cups. It's a little lumpy when stirred with a fork, but most are. It doesn't leave your tongue coated with a chemical flavor like Muscle Milk. This has been a great supplement for me.

Unlike whey blends and whey consentrates, Flexatarian Protein isolate feels light and not filling. I have always felt bloated or sluggishly full after using other non-proteins isolates. Because isolates cut all the added carbs, you get straight and as pure as feasible protein. If you're needing more filling meal replacement, using milk with your isolate makes a great shake.I haven't gotten the off smell that others have mentioned. Sub and Save to save some $$. Especially if you're going to be getting it over and over.Update: Been using this product for a while. Still just as good a when I first bought it. Supplements my protein intake.I have read some of the newer comments that talk about the taste/smell some more. I honestly wonder what these individuals think a SUPPLEMENT should taste like... a Hershey's bar? Ice cream? And then I imagine the diets and eating habits of these individuals that are writing these complaints. Anyway... great powder, doesn't have all the bs additives. Best bang for your buck.UPDATE: Well, it was the best bang for your buck. Sudden price hike has made this product not as great a deal as other options available. $68/5lb as of writing this. It was $20 less back in Nov. I think amazon must have realized that this is isolate and not concentrate or whey matrix (blend).

So funny how everybody has such personalized tastes. I've checked the ratings on about a dozen different proteins, trying to find a good one. And every single one has about 6 or 7 people giving it a one star and saying it makes them gag and is the worst thing ever. Not sure how these people get through life with such limited tastes buds! LOL! But this protein makes a great smoothie, tastes good, digests easily. Highly recommended! :)

I've tried endless different varieties and brands of whey protein over the years. This tastes perfect and mixes in just fine. Get yourself a shaker cup with ball and you will have ZERO problems. Stevia, less sugar than others. This stuff is fantastic. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about. I just tried this stuff for the first time and its great.

I was looking for a protein that was soy free and sweetened by stevia. Taste 7/10. The vanilla didn't taste bad and went well in my green smoothie. Price 10/10. The price was good 5 pounds of protein under $50 bucks.Absorbency 6/10. Took longer than my typically protein to mix with almond milk.I will buy product again.

Let's face it. You drink it for the health value. Have tried many protein mixes over the years and I like this one because of the mild flavor and the ability to dissolve easy in water. It never caused me any side affects, and I felt better physically overall when doing a lot of workouts. Good price also.

This product I can feel a difference. 2 rounded scoops are enough. I shake it in the jar with water or milk. Its just a little too sweet for me. But tastes great when adding a banana or berries It is thick and foamy. when on the go i can add the liquid just before drinking.

It tastes ok. I don’t taste metallic like others mentioned but just not a real strong flavor at all. More of a “base” flavor ok it adding fruit for a smoothie or to almond milk for cereal/oatmeal. Wished I would have tried the small one first or chocolate. I won’t buy again.
