RSVP International Hanging Storage Collection 3-Tier Baskets, Copper Wire

I purchased this hanging basket for my bathroom. I got tired of my vanity constantly being littered by all those item you use once or twice a day. It is holding a number of items including lotion and perfume bottles, haircare products and vitamin bottles of various sizes. Some of these items are a bit heavy. I am completely delighted with it. It's attractive and, despite a number of other reviews to the contrary, quite sturdy. I've checked the chains and clips and there is absolutely no problem with them at all. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try, it's great! Don't be afraid of this hanging basket. It does a wonderful job.

Remember your 'grand mother's onion basket'? Well, this isn't it: This is stylish, contemporary and made of copper. Quality build, solid and sturdy. Very nice looking to say the least! Bottom basket easily holds 6 (I'll use a baseball for comparison's sake here) yellow onions, 5 in the middle and the top easily handles 6+ heads of fresh garlic. This is the answer to no counter space. This also has another great use: Hanging plant baskets. You can YouTube or Google how to do it, don't want to bore you into a coma here. The baskets are rigid with flat bottoms and do NOT collapse, however if you need to store the item? Top two baskets fit into the bottom one.

I read through a lot of reviews on amazon for different types of moderately priced fruit baskets before settling on this one. I haven't been disappointed. While the chain was a bit tangled when it arrived, it was easy to untangle. I was quite impressed by the size of the baskets. I fitted a bag of apples, several potatoes, tangerines, and garlic in it at the same time with no problem. The chain seems sturdy enough and it hangs nicely, and does not hang lopsided so long as you even out the load of items on each tier. However, I don't know if the chain on the basket would withstand a really heavy load, like a stack of potatoes on each tier. In that case, I would worry that the chain might break. But for your average assortment of fruits and vegetables of mixed weights it holds up well. Also, if you have stainless steel appliances, this basket matches that look nicely.

I read a lot of bad reviews of this product before buying it. It seems that a lot of people have had problems with the strength of the chains and/or the clips. I was a bit worried, but we couldn't find anything in town that met our needs and the price was right on this, so I took a chance. We've had this product hanging in our kitchen now for over two weeks, and it's been FULL the entire time: onions, potatoes, and squash, among other things. What I'm trying to say is that we've had heavy food in it...and nothing has broken. I haven't had to buy new chains. It hasn't fallen. Use some common sense when you hang the product. Make sure the chains aren't tangled and the weight is distributed equally. This is a great product at a great price. UPDATE 3/31/13: This thing has been hanging in our kitchen for 20 months now. I haven't had to do anything to it. It's always full of produce, it hasn't broken, and nothing has fallen. If you are confident in your ability to hang something from a hook, buy this with confidence.

Pros: Looks good Holds ma fruits Cons: Can't hold 100lbs of fruit Will look crooked if loaded unevenly I've had this thing moderatly full of oranges and banannas. I've put pinapples and onions in it. I haven't, although, tried to fit a watermelon in it or fill it to max capacity on every tier with heavy juicy fruits because yea I'm sure that would strain or break it. If you don't let your kids swing on it and use it moderately, ie: the way it's supposed to be used, it will work just fine and not come crashing down like some reviewers say. My only gripe is the chain can get twisted up funny during shipping and you'll need to solve that puzzle before you can hang it straight. If you plan on overfilling this thing, you might consider re-enforcing it with a new chain and clasps, but really, who goes through that much fruit? Are you starting a Jamba Juice?

I bought two of these guys several months ago and use them non-stop all the time. I'm not sure if the manufacturer changed the chains on them because they are very strong, unlike what other reviewers are saying. I mounted them with some good hooks that go straight into the studs. I am a vegan, so you know I load these suckers up. And I don't mean no wimpy light fruits either! I will typically fill up each one with about a dozen apples, two bunches of bananas, and 3-4 tomatoes or several cloves of garlic. They seem to really hold up well, and even if the chains would break (they haven't yet and don't look like they would), I would simply recrimp it or go to home depot and get some extremely strong chains for a couple bucks. The baskets are great and really do hold a good amount of fruit, which saves my counter-top space. If you want your fruit to be eaten faster and more often? Get one or two of these, because when you are in the snacking mood, what you see is what you will eat. Just be sure to look up online what veggies you can keep out (for a limited amount of time, your mileage may vary). There are more than you think. Here's a short list of what we keep out and seems to do really well (some need to be covered to keep out the light). Apricots, Nectarines, Peaches, Plums, Apples, Bananas, Tomatoes, Citrus Fruits, Garlic, Pears, Onions, Potatoes, Squash.

Great product, looks just as in picture. Seller took care to ensure it did not tangle via delivery, so that was nice. It's a nice rose gold colour. Holds my fruit sturdily, no concerns of it breaking apart with slightly heavier fruit.

Super schön. Und etwas außergewöhnlich da es in Kupferfarben ist. Es passt viel Obst und Gemüse hinein. Und man hat mehr Fläche auf der Arbeitsplatte frei. Ich hab nur die Kette zur Decke verlängern müssen, sonst hängt es zu weit oben.
