The boot was moderately easy to remove and replace. The new boot/shifter knob was substantially less in quality and the shift knob is slightly smaller, but fit & finish are on par with a replacement that isn’t OEM.

Made the console look 100x better than before and it LOOKS exactly like an OEM replacement part (2003 Passat). However, the internal parts are different than OEM, and it won't completely lock to the rod connecting the knob to the transmission; thus, the knob itself is able to twist 360 degrees.

Meh. For the price you can't beat it. But don't expect and oem feel. Knob is smaller than stock. Fitment is ok takes some persuasion to get it to fit. Knob doesn't fully tighten.

Good replacement for my stock boot that had flaking leather, shift knock is a little cheap feeling since its plastic but looks much better than what I had.

Great for the price! It looks like the new stock ones, and the boot material feels soft. Just presses on, nothing to hold the shift knob in place, I just used silicone in mine, not like the stock fitting. The piece on top comes off, but nothing a little glue won't take care of.

Gear gets a little bigger than the original shift gear, but it's okay for the price and quality

Perfect fit and looks just like the original. The polyurethane smelled slightly like diesel fuel for a few weeks, but I that is common and harmless with many polyurethanes. I could not smell it in the car but my hands smelled after driving the car.
