Microsoft Surface Go Alcantara Signature Type Cover, Model 1840 (KCS-00021) Cobalt Blue

There's nothing major to dislike about the Alcantara cover, it is an overall great cover and keyboard combo and you should get it to complete the look of your new Surface Go. The cover material on the out-facing side feels really good on the hands, similarly for the keyboard side but not as good as the out-facing side. The keyboard feels nice to type on, there is little key travel and for a tiny keyboard it feels surprisingly comfortable to type. You do get a bit thrown off from time to time since the layout is packed tight but you get used to it very quickly. There are three levels of backlight brightness for the keyboard and is bright during the daytime and in dim environments. It attaches quite strongly to the Surface Go magnetically so be careful not to yank it out too hard. My nitpick for the keyboard is that the arrow keys are not great but sacrifices had to be made. The mouse pad is small so you will want a mouse alongside the Surface Go. I think it would feel nicer if it was magnetic at the lip as well since it opens like a door that's ajar. Well worth the purchase, especially if you want to spoil yourself.

Easy to use with great texture and typing experience.

My mom got me the Surface Go and decided to get the cover/keyboard. It is comfortable to type on and is even easy to see in the dark since it lights up around the keys. The cover has a nice texture and connects immediately with the surface go without having to wait or connect with Bluetooth. Since I eat while using the tablet/keyboard I occasionally have to pull the keyboard "out" from where it magnetically sits to clear out crumbs, but overall I am definitely pleased with this keyboard.

I ordered this keyboard in Cobalt Blue color for my Microsoft Surface Go 2. The keyboard attachment increases the overall usability of the Surface Go with a keyboard, trackpad, and keys for volume, screen brightness, and backlit keys. The tactile feedback of the keyboard feels great. The alcantara fabric of the keyboard is soft to the touch. It attaches magnetically to the bottom of the surface and overall feels stable and securely attached. Folding the keyboard to the Surface screen will put the tablet into sleep mode. Folding the keyboard to the back of the tablet will disable the keyboard and put it back into tablet mode. Occasionally I've noticed it takes a bit longer than usual for the tablet to recognize the keyboard. The keyboard has been shrunk quite a bit to meet the form factor of the device. If you're used to the keyboard on the Surface Laptop or Surface Pro you might find yourself striking the wrong keys initially, especially if you have larger hands. After a bit of practice and relearning I've noticed my typos decrease. Overall the keyboard is a great add-on that increases the functionality of the Surface Go, especially if it's your only computer.

One of the best keyboard experience I have every had. I don't know how microsoft was able to do it with such a thin keyboard, but it's great! Hopefully, they'll be no future issues with this (like Apple's Macbook butterfly keyboard), but will be changing this review if any problems arise.

They are very solid now and work quite well. Lapability is very good compared to the older ones, although there is still some problematic flex in the touchpad that can give phantom presses on the lap. Also somehow feels heavier than the older ones.

This keyboard was used but looked good to me and works well

I am ultimately impressed by the feel of the keys and the ease with which I can type! I bought a Surface Go because I wanted a small, light, backpacking compatible computer that could be recharged via a solar generator. My one concern was that the keyboard would not work well, that the keys would be too small for my XL glove-size hands. I had no need to worry - this thing is great!

Awesome product for Microsoft surface go laptop.. Technology at it's best.. great looks & sleek design.

I ordered wrong product, return acted on promptly. Thanks

Ordered a Surface Go Cover, got a Pro cover with a tag saying it's a Go cover. It's incompatible with my device and has zero use

Should have guessed it was a US layout as it was coming from the USA. My bad. Works fine, great quality.

Works great, i love the colour, the material and keys are fantastic. It is however smaller than i am used too so typing always takes a few minutes for me to adjust too once i start using it but that's what you get for a 10" screen tablet. The type cover was also a little cheaper on amazon than other locations so that was nice and its held up well for a few months now. Even with the occasional beverage drip.. but i wouldn't recommend getting it too wet.
