I purchased this as a gift for my 15 year old grandson who plays music beautifully by ear. Because he plays the guitar, I thought this would make a great portable instrument for him to play. I checked everything out when I received the package and played through the notes. It's beautiful, haunting, much like playing one of my Native American love flutes. He will love this. I dare say, so will anyone else that is listening. I am so excited to be able to give this to him.

This was purchased for my 16-year-old son and it is such a cool instrument, None of us can put it down! Very easy to learn how to play and has a beautiful sound to it. Highly recommend

It arrived on time and was exactly as described. It will provide fun and entertainment for me and family for some time to come.

Exactly what I was looking for to play short tunes or introduce kids to music!The sounds come out strong, but will require a bit of tuning for better pitch.The only drawback was the metal tubing hammer which is used to tune the individual thumb keys. The head and handle come separately so you must attach them first before use. However mine does not fit together properly and so I needed to use another tool at home to tune this kalimba.The further most keys away from the center have higher pitch as expected and are harder to tune properly. I also noticed that some those keys are not held as strongly in place compared to the ones that are towards the middle.All in all, it is a fun instrument to play that requires a bit of do it yourself touch ups to make it perfect.

Our 4 year old granddaughter, her 6 year old sister & parents love this instrument. It is easily played and the tone is beautiful.

This is something i bought my daughter to entice her to want to do music. It is beautiful and easy enough. The design is beautiful. The pronges are very well secured... so much than tuning is hard. But since this was more for curiosity sake I gave 5 stars. If this was going to be serious study I'd give 4 stars bc tuning is difficult. Would be nice oversize stocking stuffer.

I got this for my brother that has everything!! He is very difficult to buy for. He has some musical experience, self taught, and was playing it within minutes!! I was just happy he liked it!!
