nicely made unit , with 3 of "18650" type quality device rechargeable lithium's cells provided
AWESOME LITTLE media box can handle most codec , but not all movies and music is best use for downloaded you tube and other content at 37 bucks its a bargain if a little primitive and processor seems average screen is brightcomes with 3 18650 3.7 volt batteries it can recharge .. the same cells in some laptops and other devices ... look like giant double AA size is in the name 18mm wide65mm long "O" to denote cylinder shape = 18650nice build sensibly like the shape of a quality radio from 1990s but with a 4 inch screen for video \moviesclear and louder than expected, but not stereo, even has an old school metal telescoping antenna for radio reception ,which add to the charm

This thing is rad
The media could not be loaded. I really enjoy this device. To me it has a retro style similar to devices of the late 80s and 90s. FM/AM radio works very well. We don't have any SW broadcasts in my area so unsure of its quality. The video player works well on the videos I have loaded. Sound on it is Mono, but is a nice speaker, sounds great. Menu was intuitive and easy to use. It will auto play from microsd when you switch to video, and pickup where you left off which is awesome. Overall I am very happy with this device, and was certainly great value for the money.

Not what I expected, It only meets you halfway
Pros- It met the 4.3 size screen for video playback and the sound of the speaker is good.- It lets you switch between the TF Card and USB Flash drive to play MP3s and Video filesCons (where do I begin)- It has "no internal storage" so it doesn't remember settings like "shuffle mode or playback mode" if chosen and because of this the unit isn't recognized by the PC to read the TF card so if you decide to add a video, picture or mp3 to the TF card already inserted in the unit or the USB flash drive, you couldn't do it while either card or USB drive is inserted.. The instruction manual tells you to turn on the unit and hit the Video button and "then" insert the TF card and/or USB drive, well I'm leaving the TF card inserted but might takeout the USB drive. The Playback is always defaulted to "repeat all". The popup screen to forward or rewind to the next song or video while in playback mode is "useless" because the popup is always being displayed. So the whole playback mode and functions are "useless" because you can't utilize them for video or mp3s because in order for them to function the popup window has to remain up and you can't selection the next video or mp3 because if you hit the back button any shuffle settings disappear.Update: if you choose the "Menu" --- " Play Mode" --- " Shuffle " and press the play button to confirm.then press the " Back " button to go back, the popup windows will disappear and the device will play the file per support. but you have to "let the file play completely in the shuffle mode" while in the MP3 or Video function for it to "shuffle" to another file, you can't, while in the shuffle mode, use the forward or rewind button like most players utilized to get to the next shuffled file if you try to use either of the two buttons the unit will only play the "next file in alphabetically or sequence order",When I asked their support: [email protected] they wrote backIf you power off the device or unplug the USB/SD card, there is no way to keep "Shuffle" playback mode for video or MP3 audio.Because USB and SD cards are from external devices, there is no memory function for external devices.- Due to the above this unit can only play files in "alphabetical order": videos, mp3s so you can kiss an mp3 playlist goodbye because this unit doesn't have a playlist nor can you create a playlist, it goes back to the "no internal storage for remembering your settings". This leads into the next area below.- You constantly have to "push" the forward button or rewind button to go between files; Video, Mp3 all in the only order available: alphabetical order and pushing these two buttons gets quite tedious after a while.- The earphone Jack is so low when you plug in an earpiece or use it as an aux output to a speaker. You have to turn the unit up to 30 to hear it but if you unplug the earpiece or aux speaker the internal speaker gets distorted.- Bluetooth function it has a "Bluetooth in" where you can connect a phone or tablet WHEN it should have had a "Bluetooth out" connectivity where you can Bluetooth to a much larger speaker.- The Radio, like customer reviewed it gets tedious turning the knob to get a radio station in, agreed. The FM stations seem to come in quicker. The AM stations, we have strong ones in my area, terrible tuning by the SM-617. The SW stations you be lucky to get a few, no weather channel on the SW. I found one thing in the manual that if you hold the AM or FM or SW button down for five seconds it'll automatically tune in stations as presets. The back part as it says in the manual you can't delete stored radio stations or manually store radio stations, so if you get a preset with just noise or a partial of the real station dial number before the real station then you're just stuck with that preset.- The screen is a fingerprint smug magnet I have to constantly clean it.- They don't tell you much about the numbers 1 thru 9 and 0 on top of the unit.NOW LET'S GO WITH THINGS THAT "SHOULD HAVE BEEN" IN THE MANUAL1. First place your Antenna in the best one position and use tuning knob to get the stations that you want to hear and THEN "Hold Down", i.e., the "FM or SW or AM button" and let it do an Auto scan of the radio stations. Once that's been done "press your forward or back button to get the preset CH number" (like my FM CH19 is station 98.7) and write down the CH numbers of your favorite radio stations. After you do that, you can NOW use those 1 thru 9 ,0 numbers on top to go to your Favorite radio stations. So instead of having to turn the Tuning dial for my favorite FM 98.7 station I just hit the number 1 and 9 (CH19) and I get my station to play.2. Although I got to constantly push the forward or rewind to get to the next MP3 file or Video file (very tedious) and the Video files or MP3 files don't have numbers next them, instead of me constantly clicking the forward button or constantly scroll down 44 times I can hit the number "44" from the 1 thru 9,0 numbers on top of the unit. You can do this for video files and MP3 files instead of going thru or scrolling through a large amount of files. It helps when you have your place in a sea of files.Again, the big draw of this unit is the video player but having the other functions of this unit to work would have been an A+. That's why I can't go with five stars because a lot of the functionality of this unit just does not work.

Absolutely - okay 96% awesome! By saving video files smaller, it is 100% awesome :)
Worst feature: until you adjust videos to a lower res, movies appear almost black and white with a bit of one color streaking across the screen. I use it with videos I am listening to more than not, so it does not bug me.Best feature: it is YOURS! You do not have to wait for something to load, having working wi-fi signal, passwords, charge cords with you constantly, your music, your videos, your “cut the cord” freedom.Good error: it says it takes up to a 128 gb micro sd card, but I have successfully used a 512 gb chip!
