the connector itself is well made with a rubberized texture .. it is definitely not flimsy super thin plastic... I like the fact that every pin is labeled with their correspondent number .. it saves time not having to count every time to guess what the pin number is.. the cable is quite flexible and the jacket is quite thick.. a good feature if you plan on using the cable a lot ... as mentioned by other people the colors of the cables do not match the published pin numbers.. but I think is a bit unfair to give anything less than 5 stars to this connector assembly .. when you get such a great connector for this dirt cheap and complain about the color mismatch I think you just love to whine for no reason.. LOL

Worked good but no color wire key with do I had to ohm every wire to it's pin location. Wire was a bit thin also but it worked okay.

This product is universal, it will work as a replacement for any OBD2 port as long as it is wired up correctly. Most vehicles only use half of the wires or so that the OBD2 port has available so don’t feel overwhelmed. Read reviews stating that the wires didn’t match up with the diagram in the AD, maybe this is the case for some units but mine was all correct (tested before installing). Definitely solder the wires and use heat shrink to protect them, this is not the kind of part you ever want to have to deal with again. The port itself is high quality, i wish manufacturers would use a port even half as robust as this one.Also, be prepared to be in a very uncomfortable position for an hour or so while you solder this in, NOT FUN! No fault of the product, just the location of most OBD2 ports under the dash.

The provided up out diagram is completely incorrect, and resulted in several blown fuses and PID codes set in my car. Make sure to double check ALL the connections before you plug this into anything.

If you need to do the Lexus cheat codes to reset the zero point calibration, this is the way. If your OBD2 doesn't work, check the fuse.

This connector works fine. The length is great. The wires are prestripped but not tinned, which is a disadvantage because you need to tape off the twelve wires that you won't need.WARNING: be extremely careful to check the connections before connecting because the color code shown in the item description does not match the wiring of the connector. My first attempt was completely wrong, but fortunately not damaging. I had to use an ohm meter to connect the correct wires.

The parts were well made and if I were attaching them to screw terminals I would give this product five stars. But I was soldering to them and it was very hard to get the solder to stick to the wires.

I needed an OBD2 connector to attach to a USB cable for building up a special cable for a 1995 Camaro. One of the lucky GM vehicles that has a OBD2 connector and OBD1 computer so wiring and testing is special in that neither type system matches normal testing or test equipment. This was perfect in that I was able to choose what wire went where without cutting off an end. I used cable make up directions for the Scan9495 cable at their website and used their software and guess what. Now I get more info than any OBD1 tester 9if you can find a OBD1 tester that can do anything other than reset DLC's for this vehicle) I have ever seen on an old Camaro.

Two of my pins in my OBD test equipment broke due to heavy use, they wanted over £500 to replace the item, so I had nothing to lose, purchased this lead and found the colors were different, but with a check found the correct wires to which pin and fitted to old unit, now works perfectly. saved me a small fortune.

this works great for OBD2 communication to an LS computer when you don't get the stock plug from the original car. using the 4 or 5 wires needed, your back in business. Able to hide this easily in the car on a few builds.

Well made connector and cable. But don't trust the pinout provided as it is inaccurate.

The cable is okay, and is working in my project, except just like many others who purchased this, I had to manually test each pin to figure out the correct wires, as the ones provided in the description are completely wrong.On mine CAN HIGH was green and CAN LOW was green/white with aqua/teal as SIGNAL GROUND.
