Great clock, my 20 month old son now stays in his bed until the sheep goes baa. Been using it for 2 months now with great success. Even when he wakes up, he knows he is to play in his bed with his teddies and other toys until it goes baa. From reading the reviews there seem to be some misunderstanding of the instructions. Setting the clock into sleep mode every evening is very simple. The more long-winded way is changing the actual settings, which you do by single pressing the bottom button. Once you have done that setup, you can then every evening just unlock the sheep and hold down the bottom button to put it into sleep mode. Hold it down until it displays the flashing wakeup time. This will put the clock in sleep mode using the sleep settings as you have setup previously. Very simple. You only need to do it the long-winded way if you want a different wake-up time, or different duration before the alarm goes off. The top nap button works in a similar manner. Single press it to change the nap settings. Once setup just unlock, and press and hold the top nap button until it flashes the nap duration. This will put it in nap mode using the nap settings as you have setup previously. If you ever need to cancel a sleep mode or nap mode, just unlock and hold down the left M button. This will cancel the sleep or nap mode. Hope that helps.

Not the easiest to set up but ok. Batteries lasted longer than some other reviews. Very cute and initially much loved. But just randomly decides it’s daytime at night and vice versa. Very frustrating and confusing for my young daughter who is just learning to stay in bed at night, and can’t yet tell the time. Two months in and we’re looking to replace it - definitely not with the same again.

The clock shows a red or green face at the times you set but I have yet to see an amber face. Having said that the colour only shows around the point of the change and will only show again if you move the clock. Whilst it's easy to set the time and sleep/wake times it is also easy to unlock by little fingers which then completely negates it all...I really wanted the coloured faces to stay 'on' all the time and to be able to set the time period for when the 'amber' face is visible so that it would provide a warning for the sleep time and really thought I'd found the one clock that provided everything I wanted... but clearly not.

I really like this product - my 3 year old son now knows when he needs to put his lights out at night, and also when to get up. We are no longer being woken up by him at 5am! He took to it right away and is also using it to learn to tell the time. We liked it so much, we ended up getting two so that he can use one at my parents house when he stays over. One that was sent had a fault, but the seller sent a replacement quickly.I like that the night light isn't on all night so won't interfere with sleep, but it comes on when touched, so my son can check the time if he wakes up in the night. The colour system (red, amber, green) is very simple for him to understand. Some people have mentioned that the noise of the eyes opening wakes their kids up. The first one I bought was a little noisy and may have woken him up, but the more recent version is quieter. Over-all, it's such an improvement on being woken up very early and it has definitely improved his sleep routine. Note that it doesn't come with a plug (just a USB cable) but it can be powered with a USB phone charger plug or with batteries.

This product is great for the first few weeks and then stops working.There is no time display and the eyes won’t open even with new batteries or plug in.

Great way to teach children when (or when not to) get up.Simple to use, easy to read, quite cute.Only issue is the instructions. They're not straight forward but do make sense after reading a few times.

Sam the Sheep has been a success in my house and I would recommend.Unfortunately the power chord doesn’t work and Sam is eating through batteries. Is there a way to get a replacement chord?
