Works, but missing instructions
Seem to work pretty good. It didn’t come with instructions so you need to go back and look at the listing for them. If ringworm is present, one side will turn green and the other side will turn red. It’ll save you a ton of money on overpriced vet visits.

Looking for ringworm?
We used these plates to establish that the ongoing treatment for ringworm on 5 cats had worked. Using sterilized Q tips to sample the paws and face of the cats, then inoculating the plate on both sides with that q tip, yielded no positives for ringworm. There was growth on Sabdex plates with Gentamycin and chloramphenicol which resulted in black mold...not ringworm.

Arrived warm
When the package was delivered the ice pack inside was warm and there was condensation in some of the plates. Concerned about accuracy and wasting time with potentially compromised plates I have attempted to report a problem or initiate the exchange process. However, my account shows that the plates have not even been delivered yet and are still in route. At this point I am going to go ahead and try the plates as they are but this is a frustrating concern when I’m trying to solve a health issue.

Helped during ringworm “plague”
I used these to test my cats at home in between vet cultures for ringworm. They provided the same results we saw from the vet. I also used a digital thermometer and egg incubator from Amazon to provide the correct temperature for growing the cultures.

Great!
I requested to deliver it immediately, after 2 days it’s here. Satisfied customer here.

Dead
If I could give it zero I would. The culture arrived in regular cardboard box with one worm ice pack. Of course it didn’t work cause the bacteria already dead. I bought this to retest my kitten after she tested positive for ringworm after couple days from adopting her from the shelter. I bought it so I can save some money on vets, but I guess not.

Easy to use!
We use these plates to culture rescue cats for ringworm. They are far easier to use than the vials that have the narrow necks. They arrived quickly and worked well, my only concern was that they were not chilled for shipment and I don't know how that would affect their usefulness as sometimes you need to run cultures for 6-8 weeks during a ringworm outbreak.
