Takes a little getting used to
Best sharpener I've got for graphite and caran dache watercolour pencils.. Only got one blade so no good for pastel pencils.. I have a twin blade one for those.. Also it's only good for regular size pencils like Derwent or Faber-Castell graphite... Anything thicker won't fit in the hole... It puts a beautiful long point on my pencils which I really like but it can take a little getting used to operating if you're not used to single bladed helical sharpeners, I read a few of you are having a bit of trouble making it work... My first pencil it worked for about 3 seconds then froze up on me... I have others that do this.. It's supposed to be a safety feature but it's a pain in the bum... If you push the pencil in with any force it will lock up and until you reset the mechanism by pulling your pencil out while gently twisting it until the mechanism clicks up into place it won't go again... The trick is to hold your pencil so it doesn't turn and put very gentle steady pressure on it... DON'T push it in firmly or it will lock up... Remember once it locks up (and it will quite often) you must pull the mechanism up to reset it... You will hear a solid click when it does pop up... One you get used to it you will find it works smoothly and puts a fabulous long point on your pencil... I'd recommend it 😊

Excellent battery or mains powered electric pencil sharpener
This is a great pencil sharpener especially for the price. I wanted one that had helical blade they call it, not sure exactly but it’s not like a regular hand sharpener and the pencil points sho it. This sharpens some serious long sharp points I love it, I’ve never managed to get point on pencils like this gets with regular hand sharpeners, it can be powered by batteries or a usb cable. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if it had its own rechargeable battery rather than taking standard batteries.

Only worked for 6 months
This product started out great but stopped working after 6 months. Not apparent issues when looking. Just no power on new batteries or via the cable.

Bargain belter long point electric pencil sharpener
I was skeptical at first when I bought this. Afmat ones are 50 plus quid so I decided to try this and wasn't disappointed. I used steadtler graphite pencils, castle arts coloured pencils and Faber Castell polychromos to see what they would sharpen like. Very impressed overall. The trick is to not press too long and you'll have a nice long point for detailed art etc. Usb is a bonus too (hey! No batteries) and replacement blades can be bought cheap enough from other shopping sites. Great product 👌

Hands hurt No problem.........
I love to draw. My hands have been broken a few times and they hurt after a while. I can not sharpen my pencils the way I want with no pain. I have no problems with this. Light and easy to travel with. The usb plug is best with a strong adapter (like for your phone). A cheap adapter will not be strong enough for this. Batteries are also useful if you need to travel with it. Takes 4 AA batteries.

Don’t bother
This product is awful!!! I’m a teacher and bought this for my classroom. It doesn’t like all types of pencil and will only sharpen a few types and I have noticed that it depends on the wood that it is made from. Which isn’t great when I use multiple different types of pencil/ pencil crayon. Really disappointing and I really wish that I had bought a more expensive one.

I wish I bought this years ago!
I've had a few electric sharpeners, but they were all basically a run of the mill sharpener you buy from the shop, that spins. THIS is a different contraption with some sort of replaceable spinny blade thing in it. Oh my word its amazing! ALL my pencils are pointy! So far only one has snapped off resulting in my having to pull the top off, get a pin and wiggle it out.I wish I'd bought one of these years ago! (I'm an artist btw). Fantastic.

Highly recommend!!
I highly recommend this electric sharpener, I purchased this 3 months ago and have used it many times with no problems.Having young children who love to draw and colour, I send a lot of time sharpening pencils, life is too short to sit there and manually sharpen pencils to the point my fingers and hands hurt. Therefore I decided to purchase this electric sharpener and its definitely a life changer! Its sharpens the pencils really nicely and the sharpener is of a solid build.I would highly recommend this to everybody! I have already recommended to my friends and family!!
