Little Tikes Big Digger Sandbox

My 10 y/o son used his Amazon gift card he got for Christmas to buy this for my soon to be 3 y/o daughter and I'm sure it'll be her favorite gift! My estimated delivery date was May 23-25, which was fine because her birthday is in the beginning of June. However, it came today, May 17. Since I wasn't expecting it so soon, she saw it sitting on the porch (in a box with a picture on it) when we got home today. Which is my fault, I could have had it gift wrapped but I didn't think of it. So, she got an early gift and she's been playing with it ever since we walked through the door! I guess it's a happy accident that it came early and she saw it because it's been raining non-stop here for a week and it feels like she's been couped up in the house forEVER!!! We set it up in the living room and plan to put some kinetic sand in there for now (until the weather is nicer and we can set it up outside with REAL sand). But before we put the molding sand in, she wanted to let the ferrets play in it and check it out. So I can honestly say that this sand box (and the box it came in!) is kid AND ferret approved! It was easy to put together, seems pretty sturdy and the toys it comes with are awesome! Everyone is happy with this purchase and my son cemented his status as "Bestest Brubby"!!! 😄

This is another item that’s perfect for grandma’s house because it’s not a gigantic sandbox but just perfect enough we use dirt and our and the kids love it

So when I ordered the sandbox, it was supposed to arrive in 5 days. It arrived within 2 days, and I was really excited for my boys (3 and 4) to play with it. It’s a little on the small side, but it’s ok for us because I chose to put it on the back porch so they could play in the shade. It seems to be pretty sturdy, rugged plastic, And it came with enough small toys for both if them to be happy. As my boys love all things trucks and diggers and any kind of sand or dirt, I’m certain they will get an amazing amount of playtime out of it this summer. I’m very pleased with this purchase!

We got this for a Christmas present for my son. We put about 25 lbs kinetic sand in it along with some smaller construction equipment toys. We planned to put it in the shop, but have actually left it in the house for now. The plastic is sturdy and well designed for this purpose. It is not overly large (not large enough to sit in and play), but is great for 1-4 small children playing with their hands. The lid removes completely and can be used to extend the play area with a ramp to drive the dump truck that comes with it. It also comes with the “digger” on the box itself, 2 construction workers (like the little people characters), 2 scoops, and a shovel. It may have come with more, but I’m not positive now. One thing to note is that the lid does not seal completely or “snap” in place. It securely sits on top and is sturdy, but would not keep bugs or small outside particles from coming in. A child is unlikely to be able to get the lid off unassisted, but there’s now way to shut it entirely. It says it will hold much more sand, but 25-40 lbs is probably all I would put in it so the child can actually play with toys inside the box. Larger boxes were much more expensive and less feasible for our needs, and smaller ones were more expensive actually. Great value overall.

My son loves this so much ! Perfect sandbox for ages 1-3 as it is kind of small overall. It took 50lbs of sand to fill sufficiently.

For my grandson. Easy assembly, very sturdy, great for water or sand, tuff unbreakable material. A+

My son is just over 2 years old and we purchased this sandbox as his Easter gift. It is his absolute favorite outside toy. He will not play on his step2 slide anymore. He will not push his trucks around the yard anymore. He won’t walk to the park up the street with me anymore!!! I have spent COUNTLESS hours outside playing in the sandbox or watching him play over the past few weeks. I’m so glad he loves it!! I just wish he wasn’t TOTALLY OBSESSED 🤣🤣 Edit: we have had this all summer and my little guy still loves playing in it. The excavator arm is hard to move because sand gets stuck in it, and the lid is hard to detach after playing to replace on top for the same reason. This makes the item very frustrating for a parent who is trying to distract and redirect their child to a new activity (e.g. lunch time, nap time) Also found that water seeps into the sandbox even when the lid is on, so be prepared to add sand or let it dry out before use if you have a lot of rain.

Durable Little Tikes product, perfect if you don't have a lot of room & the accessories that came with it can help stimulate little minds! Grandchildren use water, sand & other materials inside the box. Very happy with it!

I haven't actually seen it . I had it sent straight to my grandson and it's not going to be opened until Christmas.

I ordered this toy for two year old twin boys- they loved it! I was told by their parents it was definitely the best present they received. Much better than a basic sand tray- lots of bits to entertain any child!

We bought this as a gift for our friend's son and he loved it. It is very large and sturdy.

overall really nice sandbox, perfect size for when you have limited space, the lid closes well too with rivulets dents to stop the lid from gathering stale water. The only down side is that the claw cabin makes removing the lid and putting it back on a fight so you'll probably end up taking it off/not using it
