A cute?!
Holy cow it works on my very sensitive facial skin without any irritation! Basic moisturizers either haven’t worked well on my facial eczema or had my skin reacting. This actually works. A little pricey, but easy to use sparingly without skipping where and when I need to use it.

Wonderful soothing balm for eczema or itchy, irritated skin!
Skinfix is a premium Canadian skin care brand, and I regularly use their vitamin C serum, Triple Lipid Serum, and their Triple Lipid Peptide Cream. Skinfix is known for dermatologist developed, well formulated products that support the skin barrier and have excellent ingredients for healthier, younger looking skin. I was excited to try their Eczema + dermatitis relief balm. I don’t have eczema, but I do develop patches of irritated skin on my body sometimes that even hydrocortisone creams aren’t enough to calm. My problem area is currently on my right shoulder blade, and I’ve tried using heavy moisturizers and body oils to little effect. This Skinfix balm comes in a 50 mL or 1.7 fluid ounce container with a pump top. It is fragrance free and has a very mild, pleasant scent. It’s light green in color. It rubs on smoothly and evenly, and it feels like a good medium to heavy moisturizer. My dry skin quickly absorbed it, and I think it would be fine to wear sunscreen and/or makeup over it. I experimented with it on my hands and on that itchy spot on my back, and it did a wonderful job of soothing that area. I used it that morning, and I did not even think about my back all day. I used it again that night and didn’t even need to reapply it in the morning. I am very happy with how effective this was at soothing that irritated skin. I plan to use it at least once a day to prevent reoccurrence of irritation there until it’s completely better. Update: I love Skinfix quality, and while this was initially soothing for my Winter dry and long, hot shower irritated skin on my back, I finally had to resort to an anti-itch cream with pain relief and taking shorter, cooler showers to reduce the irritation on my back. However, I feel this product would be effective for eczema, which is its intended use. It was manufactured in Canada, and it is free of steroids, antibiotics, fragrance, parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, silicones, lanolin, propylene glycol, PEGs, and gluten. It is also vegan and cruelty free. Overall, I was very pleased with the effectiveness of this Dermatitis Relief Balm by Skinfix, and I believe it’s a quality product at a reasonable price for such a thoughtfully formulated item from a premium skin care brand. It feels very soothing and moisturizing, and I think it would work well for use on the face, hands or other parts of the body.

Cool, soothing, non-scented targeted relief
My teenage daughter inherited eczema from my husband’s side of the family. Luckily, they are able to advise her on a lot of tips and tricks that keep it under control. When I saw this product, I bought it for her to try. With 5% colloidal oatmeal, I know it should be soothing, and they’ll definitely be therapeutic, even if it doesn’t cure it. As we all know, they’re really is no cure. My daughter takes a mild antihistamine tablet every day and uses a prescription triamcinalone cream daily to treat eczema hotspots. Her hands and knees are particularly sensitive and become dry and thick if she neglects extra care measures. She tried this cream right out of the shower on her “hotspots”. It sinks in very quickly and it’s not greasy at all. It leaves a velvety almost powdery feeling. It just becomes a part of your skin. After it sinks in, she applies her medicated cream. And if I can get her to bother, maybe a layer of Aquaphor, Vaseline, or almond oil as a topper. I love this brand and I have used it for two years now. I do not have eczema, but I am using the cleanser and facial moisturizer. I know it is a good product and a good brand, so I took a chance and I’m not sorry. Although pricey, this is a great targeted treatment. My daughter only puts it on her trouble areas. The studies have shown that 5% colloidal oatmeal is just as effective as hydrocortisone without the skin-thinning side effect. I think this is a very effective tool to happen in your toolbox. The cream has very little scent, and just feels cool and soothing. I would recommend you give it a try because I think you will find a place for it in your rotation.

Skinfix Dermatitis Relief Balm - effective, moisturizing treatment for itchy relief
Skinfix is a brand I know, use, and love but, I had not tried the dermatitis relief balm until picking this up. I have loved it from the first use - it has a slight scent of oatmeal as to be expected, to me, it is a pleasant scent, and it has quickly become the first thing I reach for after cleansing. Even though I don’t need full face coverage, I often do apply it all over because I just love how my skin feels. I do have several areas that are prone to eczema spots that cause irritation and itch, particularly in my eyebrow area, and this cream is helping to soothe those areas from morning until night when I cleanse and apply another layer. I love how easily it goes on, how quickly it absorbs and, best of all, how far a little pump will go with coverage. With the effectiveness I have seen, and the amount that I need to use, this is a good value for me and I would buy again. One small quibble I have is that although the container uses a pump that protects the cream for a hygienic experience, there is still always a build up of dried up product upon the first pump to be worked around. Just some room for improvement but, not a deal breaker. I would recommend this product.

Had a severe flair up of eczema around my eyes. Tried at least 10 different products with no relief. With just one use this made the red, itchy stinging feeling go away instantly. I have never had a product work this quickly!
