Great do it yourself tool
After reading mixed reviews on this product and other competitors products, I decided on the metal 6” inch wire brush from this company. I used it for the first time about a week ago and it worked perfectly. After attaching the recommended extension rods, I pushed the brush down the pipe from the roof. Pushed straight down with medium pressure until I felt resistance where pipe curves to the stove. Applied additional pressure to clear the curve. The brush felt stuck but one jerk with tight grip and it came clear and I was able to pull it back to the top and out of the stove pipe. I checked the inside of the stove and there was a large amount of soot waiting for me. Cleaned all the soot out and back to the roof for one more application. Checked that all rods were tight then performed the same method as previous step. Checked the inside of the stove and the amount of soot was significantly smaller. Cleaned out stove and made a fire after cleaning all tools. The draft of the pipe was significantly stronger. A straight up and down process is all that is needed while using this tool. I would recommend this product to everyone who owns a wood or pellet stove. It paid for itself with one cleaning.

Worked perfectly
Make certain you measure your flue pipe to match the brush. Mine worked perfectly, 8 inch brush, using a long rope. With me on the roof and the wife at the fireplace, we were able to clean out the pipe in short order. Ran it up and down the flue 4 or 5 times. Only one wire pulled, but I may be able to fix that. Our quotes to have it done were $150 and the people I talked to were generally unpleasant.

Better than Lowe’s
This seems to be a better value than the Lowe’s brush. It’s longer with more bristles and no paper in the twists. I’ve used it 3 times with no obvious signs of wear unlike the Lowe’s brush!!!

6in of depth allows you to just scrape up and down
Depth of the brush made it much more simple than thin brushes. Just a few up and down motions and it was all clean. Stiffness of the brush was perfect for getting through the pipe.

Allowed me to sweep my chimney with ease
This was my first time cleaning a chimney as it'll be my first year using a wood stove, I had someone go up on the roof with paracord with a carabiner tied to the end of it and just lowered the carabiner through the chimney into the stove where I attached the brush and my assistant pulled it through, tossed down the brush, and lowered the carabiner again.. Did this maybe 7 times and the chimney looked good as new.. Maybe 12 minute process, and with the "bottom up" method, while the sweeping took place, I was able to leave the stove door closed
